Assassin’s Creed is a franchise that seems to be trying to work itself adrift from the concept of assassination and the ongoing battle between Assassin’s and Templars. Even though DICE and Battlefield 3 beta participants have been at odds over various perceived missteps on the part of the developer, it looks like, at least in one area, DICE has finally caved. According to a post on the Battlefield 3 forums, DICE has decided to bring the Caspian Border, 64-player map, into the PC beta of Battlefield 3 to do a little stress testing of their servers. In fact, at this very moment, the map is available to all PC beta participants....

Alongside their big multiplayer reveal extravaganza, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare publisher Activision had one final treat for fans of their long-running, billion-dollar franchise. In addition to the standard retail edition of the game, which will launch on November 4th of this year, Activision also revealed a special Day Zero Edition that grants early access to the game. While the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare — Day Zero Edition is not going to change the game as far as special editions are concerned, it does offer fans a 24-hour head start....

Over its eight-month life span Destiny has seen many changes, some big and some small. Developer Bungie ensured players before launch that they would continually improve the Destiny experience as part of its 10-year plan, and so far they have stuck to that promise. The latest Destiny update, numbered 1.2, just recently hit Bungie’s MMO-FPS hybrid this past week, and brought with it yet another set of gameplay changes and improvements....

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Assassin’s Creed will be adapted into a feature film, with Prometheus’ Michael Fassbender attached to star and produce, comes word that Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Eidos’ first person cyberpunk stealth title, will be made into a feature film as well. The property has been acquired by CBS Films, a relative newcomer in the film distribution game, who could make a big splash if they are able to competently bring this popular series to the big screen....

Disney Interactive’s toy/gaming hybrid product, Disney Infinity, shared the spotlight with the rest of the games featured in the Sony E3 presentation when the company announced that there would be PlayStation exclusive collector’s edition for the upcoming 2.o Marvel Super Heroes expansion.
