People spent a lot of times indoors in 2020. More time indoors means more time to game and spending that extra cash on upgrading the space you frequent the most. Some people have upgraded their PC setups this past year while others have finally took up the task of creating one straight from scratch.
Jealousy may not get you anywhere, but maybe envy will make you finally get up and do what you’ve always wanted to: Have an epic gaming setup. Or maybe it will inspire you to come up with some creative ideas yourself. See what other people have put together with their different aesthetics and themes.
10 Sailor Moon
This PC has the power of the moon on it’s side thanks to it’s Sailor Moon-lover of an owner, princessn00dle on Reddit. This user was able to get a peachy-pink casing with Sailor Moon herself on it and matched pink LED lights on the inside. They drew Sailor Moon onto their case by hand with a paint marker. If you don’t see yourself being able to draw well, you can always buy themed decal stickers online and apply them to your own case!
9 LEGO
This may not be an actual real, usable PC but it’s still pretty rad. A Reddit user started crafting a motherboard from Lego pieces alone, getting as realistic as they possible can. It’s one thing to order a bunch of parts online with the help of your tech-wiz friend, but it’s another to know a computer inside and out enough to make something like this. The Reddit post mostly contains discussions on if building a PC from Lego is more expensive than buying and building a real PC. Either way, the creativity is through the roof.
8 Cyberpunk
The future never looked better with this Reddit user’s funky PC. They managed to find a small screen you can plug into your case and have it display whatever you want. This user decided to display Cyberpunk imagery. That on top of the blue and purple LED lights and you’ve summoned Night City right inside your own home.
7 The Beast’s PC (Sorry Beauty)
Some people like to go above and beyond. This medieval themed PC was created by a Russian blogger who frequently creates extravagant PC builds such as this on their Instagram @man_made.ru.
This creator is constantly pushing the boundaries of what a gaming setup can or should look like. People no longer have black boxes sitting under their desks. Our casings are now meant to be shown off.
6 Simple Yet Effective
This is a prime example of not needing to do too much to have an awesome gaming space. This user doesn’t have an expensive desk and chair and uses what they have to the best of their ability. The matching of colors goes a very long way, even when you don’t have the best tech out there.
5 Green With Envy
This setup is also more on the simple side, but with such grand lighting it makes the area appear expensive and super awesome. If you’re ever at a loss for what to do to make your setup feel gamer-ready, pick a color and get going. The best themes and ideas happen once you decide on a singular thing you want to be prominent.
4 Arasaka Tech
Another Cyberpunk inspired build here. A Reddit user gave themselves the project of creating multiple custom caps to go with their liquid cooler. One of those caps is expensive Arasaka tech, believe it or not!
Adding custom pieces inside your casing makes your PC all the more unique to you. Not everyone can create such items from scratch, but places like the PC Case Gear website sell things like that.
3 Star Wars Fanatic
Why stick with one color when you can have two? A reddit user mashes both blue and pink for their PC fans, keyboard, and back lighting for their monitor. Never forget that a matching desktop background or lock screen wallpaper makes a world of a difference, too. In the full picture there is also two large Star Wars pictures on the wall above the monitor. Once again, sticking to a theme is well worth it! If only for a good photo!
2 White Out
Most PC gaming equipment comes in all black with flashy LED lights to spice it up. Black is so over used, though. Here, this Reddit user commits to an all white setup. No eating and gaming at the same time here, folks. White offers a pristine, clean look that can be soothing or too bright depending on how you look at it. The back lighting of purple and pink definitely softens it out.
1 Can I Be Your 11-Year-Old Son Setup
The ultimate dad of Reddit here was tired of his 11-year-old son using his PC for games. So he gave his son this. All of the replies are gamers wishing they were this guys son too. Most of our parents shook their heads at our little gaming situation, maybe only buying us a mouse or a headset. This dad? Gets the whole shebang. Builds it all for his boy. The deep blue and hint of deep pink really gives it an ominous vibe. This kid definitely feels on top of the world in his powerful gaming lair.
