The Luigi’s Mansion series is a unique take on the Mario franchise where the other brother has to save the day. In Luigi’s Mansion 3, the game takes place in a hotel as opposed to a mansion. Because of this change of location, Luigi must brave different floors to get to the top and eventually beat King Boo.

There are over 15 floors in the game and each one has its own unique theme that makes it stand out from the rest. From dinosaurs to pirate ships, every floor was handcrafted with so much detail and inspiration that it would be hard not to enjoy every level of the game. Here are the 10 best Luigi’s Mansion 3 floors that gave players a fright!

10 B2

The Boilerworks is the deepest underground floor in the hotel. It functions as a sewage disposal floor and has many unique puzzles that involve Gooigi. The level is especially interesting because there are many more puzzles than the average floor and the level is made up of many sewer pipes.

The Boilerworks are accessed during two different sections of the game, which gives the player lots of time to explore it. This, along with the interesting puzzles and unique boss fight, makes this one of the most interesting floors in the entire game. Plus, isn’t fun to see one of the Mario brothers in a sewer considering that they’re plumbers?

9 F3

F3 is a mini shopping mall located on the lower floors of the hotel. It is one of the first floors that the player has to complete and is full of simple puzzles. There are multiple different kinds of ghosts to find on this floor. Although this floor is simple it has a lot of little hidden things to find that make it interesting.

What makes this floor stick out from the rest is the shopping mall aesthetic that it gives off, and the unique ways the floor hides different items and ghosts. This is a simple yet extremely enjoyable level that helps introduce the basic game mechanics to the player.

8 F10

F10, also called the Tomb Suites, is themed after Ancient Egypt. When the level is first entered there is a small desert with a pyramid in the middle of the room. Once inside, the player must solve puzzles and defeat ghosts in order to find their way out. There are creative things done with sand in this level that also add to the atmosphere.

What makes this level stick out is the unique theme that’s very memorable and the exploratory parts of the pyramid. The boss fight is a quite memorable experience as well. Exploring a pyramid inside a hotel, what’s better than that?

7 F14

Everybody loves to dance, and Luigi is no exception! F14 is a dance hall with an 80s theme added to it. There is a DJ ghost that must be defeated in order to proceed in the hotel and before you can fight it you must defeat some smaller ghosts. F14 has quite a groovy aesthetic.

This floor tried something very unique and pulled it off flawlessly, although it could’ve been expanded on a bit. Although F14 is somewhat short, it makes up for that in character. Dancing ghosts are just too much fun and as soon as the player steps foot on this floor, they’ll be dancing too!

6 F15

F15, also known as the Master Suite is the final floor the player must complete in the game. It has many different gimmicks and once the puzzles are solved the player must defeat King Boo’s right-hand ghost. This is one of the more challenging levels of the game.

This floor is unique because it has many different rooms to enter that are all separate from each other but also required to move on. The player must complete the 4 different rooms to get to the boss fight and defeat Helen Grave. Once defeated the player will then we able to fight the final boss in the game, King Boo.

5 F2

Floor F2 has a boss who is themed after a chef. This floor uses many different gimmicks to lead the player towards Chef Soulffle. Once the Chef is defeated, a mouse comes along and steals the F4 button that the Chef dropped, forcing the player to run after it.

What makes this floor different from the others is the idea of having 2 separate parts of the level, one based around the boss fight and the other around chasing the mouse. This was a fun and lengthy floor that fans won’t soon forget!

4 F4

F4 is a theater themed level with a boss fight set on a stage. It uses unique mechanics surrounding performer ghosts to fight the player and it is the first somewhat challenging level in the game for most players. The atmosphere of this floor is what really makes it great.

The piano boss fight is one of the most unique ideas in a Luigi’s Mansion game to date and it gives the player a real challenge especially when the prior few levels were fairly easy. This is a floor the player will want to take their time on!

3 F6

F6 is a medieval-themed level set in a castle interior. The main attraction of this level is the arena in the middle of the main room where the player must fight different types of ghosts. There are many different types of traps on this floor including swinging blades.

F6 is a real challenge for the player and the boss, King MacFrights is one of the harder bosses in the game. The King is inside a suit of armor, and for the duration of the fight he attempts to hit the player using his lance. This level has quite an interesting theme and is extremely well designed.

2 F7

F7 is a floor that is based around foliage and plants. Referred to as The Garden Suites, F7 tried many new things such as growing vines for the player to navigate and a chainsaw to cut plants blocking the player’s path. This level is also revisited for a second time during the first chase with Polterkitty.

F7 earns one of the highest spots on this list because of its innovative level design and unique use of an external weapon, the chainsaw, to defeat the boss. Hopefully fans will get to see more garden-themed levels in future Mario franchise games.

1 F9

F9 is modeled after a prehistoric history museum and as such it has dinosaur skeletons within it. It is one of the shorter levels of the game, however, it also has one of, if not the best, boss fight in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

The player must fight a living dinosaur skeleton and defeat it by shooting eggs directly at it, and the dinosaur is revealed to be controlled by the ghost of a caveman. This boss fight was extremely unique and it deserves serious praise from fans of the franchise for being a memorable, extremely fun level with stunning animation and one of the best themes fans have seen from a Mario boss in a while.
