Fortnite is known for its epic crossover skins with many different IPs, but it’s perhaps most notable for its crossovers with movie and comic book characters — including Marvel and DC tie-ins among many others. There’s even a line of “Icon” crossover skins featuring DJs like Major Lazer, musicians like Travis Scott, and streamers like Ninja. But some of the most amazing are the classic and iconic characters people love the world over.
Chapter 2 Season 4’s battle pass features a host of Marvel heroes and villains of all stripes — but beyond the constraints of that particular battle pass, which skins are the most popular among dedicated fans? Find out which Fortnite crossover skins are the top fan favorites.
10 Fortnite x Batman
Though both Aquaman and Black Manta released more recently, fans continue to use both of the Batman skins once available in Fortnite. Released as part of a set including Catwoman, many fans actually prefer the Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale Batman suit to the more traditional comic-book design.
The Dark Knight came with a bat-themed pickaxe and glider, as well. Due to its attention to detail and overall polish, many fans regard these as two of the best crossover skins (and overall skins) in the game.
9 Fortnite x Sith Trooper
Epic always seems to have some kind of Star Wars item across the various seasons. The most recent release was an X-Wing glider.
Though there are many options like Kylo Ren, Rey, and a white stormtrooper, the Sith Trooper blows them all away in terms of quality and sheer style. Though it initially released earlier, Epic took the skins out of the vault for May 4th and they may do so again in the future. Fans who missed it last time can pick up this rad, but loud skin.
8 Fortnite x Iron Man
Players can unlock many variations of the iconic red and gold Iron Man suit with Chapter 2 Season 4’s battlepass. As pictured above, fans can rock a bare hero face or a mask.
Even better than the skin, players can access unique Stark energy rifles which, suspiciously, seem similar to the Vindertech weapons found in the PvE Fortnite game known as Save The World. For more Stark Industries goodies, players should visit the vault. This is also necessary if players want to unlock more features of the Iron Man character in-game, such as different color schemes.
7 Fortnite x Harley Quinn
Though Epic will be releasing Poison Ivy and Joker skins later this year, fans remember that not one, but two versions of Harley Quinn came out first.
The developer paired the skin reveal with the release of Birds of Prey to create two skin options for the now fantastically emancipated Harley Quinn. Initially, players could opt for the traditional Suicide Squad Harley. Players had to complete a set of challenges to unlock her other outfit. From her leg tattoos and chain necklaces to her primary color armguards, the developers faithfully recreated just one of Margot Robbie’s many looks in the film.
6 Fortnite x Cable
A long-revered character in the X-Men universe, Cable’s insanely buff, grizzled exterior pairs with intimidating cybernetic enhancements like that Colossus arm he sports.
Fortnite timed his release during the Deadpool crossover event given Josh Brolin’s portrayal of the character in Deadpool 2. Though his base skin is cool enough, Cable also comes with a cloak that any character can wear as an added bonus. Though he was last seen in the store more than 90 days ago, it’s possible that Epic will bring his and the other X-Force members’ skins back for purchase.
5 Fortnite x Deadpool
The merc with a mouth made a big splash in Fortnite with his own party yacht and special quests to unlock variations of the classic red and black Deadpool skin suit. For instance, players could rock a mask or the glorious visage of Wade Wilson as inspired by Ryan Reynolds in the recent films.
They could also don a grey iteration of the classic suit instead along with DP’s mandatory katanas as back bling. Epic Games even tossed in some of Deadpool’s buddies in the form of X-Force members Psylocke, Domino, and Cable (already mentioned on this list).
4 Fortnite x Dr. Doom
Of the skins revealed in the Chapter 2 Season 4 battlepass including Thor, She-Hulk, and Mystique, fans were most excited about Iron Man (of course) and the only dedicated villain of the bunch: Dr. Doom himself.
Given his own dedicated hideout on the map, players can raid his HQ for awesome weapons and to complete challenges to unlock even more variations on the Epic interpretation of the metal maniac. Comic fans will recognize him most from The Fantastic Four which, thanks to Disney’s purchase of Fox, may get yet another reboot in the future.
3 Fortnite x Captain America
Captain America is one of the most beloved superheroes across any franchise. As such, Epic Games needed to hit a home run with this Fortnite crossover skin. Its popularity would indicate that they were able to do just that.
From his iconic shield to that glint in his eyes, Fortnite nailed this skin as taken from the updated Captain America movies featuring Chris Evans. If fans missed out on purchasing this skin before, they may get lucky as this current season progresses given that Epic is debuting new Marvel-themed crossover skins often.
2 Fortnite x Storm/Ororo
Storm has to be one of the most well-known of Marvel’s collection of characters from the X-Men lineup. She’s an African goddess with the powers to control the weather, wind, rain, and other storm elements.
The developers created a version of her classic white and gold costume while delving back into the character’s roots with the punk look that Ororo Munroe is known for from the 1980s comics run. With “Mutant Containment Trucks” showing up in-game now, perhaps more mutants could appear beyond Storm and Wolverine. Fun fact: Storm also gets manipulated by Loki and storms Asgard in a story run in The New Mutants comics. Fans can look it up if they want yet more incredible Storm outfits.
1 Fortnite x John Wick(s)
Perhaps one of the most well known original and unofficial of Fortnite crossover skins, the original “John Wick” skin stands out as a mark of veteran players. Epic Games did later release an astonishing replica of Keanu Reeves as the titular character, as well.
Fans may see both skins in the same match. And, much like the inspiration for the skin, those players often always hit their marks with speed, efficiency, and style. With more entries into the John Wick universe on the way (Chapter 4 and TV show The Continental), Epic may decide to release new skins or at least screen the movie in-game.
