When a game is as large and ambitious the those of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, there’s bound to be a lot of glitches to see. As each entry has become larger in scope and scale, the number of present glitches has scaled appropriately. With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla around the corner, it’s worth checking out the previous titles and how ridiculous these bugs have turned out.

A majority of the glitches have to do with Assassin’s Creed Unity, although the other games have also brought their own memorable contributions. With that in mind, here are some of the most hilarious glitches in the Assassin’s Creed series that gamers have found.

10 Because You’re Worth It

No, it’s not her love for Arno that makes her seem a little wild here. Elise’s surprised expression likely has a lot more to do with the state of her hair. Assassin’s Creed games have done an awful job at making hair seem voluptuous and real, so maybe the graphics were trying to do their own thing this time.

Whatever it was, Elise’s hair is stuck wildly to the side as if some ghosts were trying to play around with it. Not even the wind can be blamed here, as it was stuck like this the whole time Elise was walking.

9 Horse Riding The Master

Assassin’s Creed III is considered to have one of the better maps to explore due to the horse riding mechanics, allowing for more freedom. However, this glitch flips the whole situation on its head, seeing as the horse is attempting to ride the master.

Not only was the horse somehow standing simultaneously in midair and on the barrels, but it clung on to Conor as if it really did want the latter to carry it around town. Talk about horsing around!

8 You Look Well Today, Arno

Assassin’s Creed Unity is usually regarded as the worst game in the series, and it doesn’t take much beyond looking at this image to see why. Here, Arno seems to be a little anxious. Perhaps owing to the absence of his face.

And yet, the teeth and eyeballs are still hanging in there by clinging to… nothingness while Arno’s hair remains as well-groomed as ever. It seems Arno got so stressed out he didn’t even realize he was making his face disappear.

7 Just Walking By As If Nothing’s Happened

The games featuring Ezio have already seen a lot of memes dedicated to them, and this glitch gives more reasons for fans to laugh. As can be seen, Ezio’s walking around Constantinople much as he does every day, only for a particularly peculiar passerby to cross him.

The man doesn’t look too perturbed by the fact that a stool has been rammed straight into his chest. Rather than react in pain as any human would, the guy just walks by minding his own business, hopefully on his way to the nearest doctor.

6 Achilles’ Hidden Power

One of the reasons why fans loved the Desmond Miles games is because they had more humorous elements in them. However, it doesn’t seem likely the developers intentionally put this in the game, as all of three Achilles show up here.

With multiple Achilles all doing the same pose, the glitch makes it appear as if there’s some kind of dance number going on. It’s too bad there was no music to be had, because all these Achilles look like they’re ready to bust serious moves.

5 Bayek Out Of Water

Bayek is easily among the best assassins fans have seen so far. Due to the combination of skills like combat and swimming, he easily stands out. A bit too much according to this glitch, which takes his skills, and his neck, to ridiculous lengths.

Evidently, Bayek’s character model went so haywire that it burst out of the water as he swam.

4 Rainbow Overload

Of all the mysteries seen in the Assassin’s Creed series, this is one that wouldn’t have been in anybody’s minds. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag tried to up the ante where the graphics were concerned, and looks like this went overboard.

Rather than have a singular rainbow glistening in the distance, the glitch ended up making the entire sky into a mutant version of a rainbow. It’s clear the weather forecast that day was not going to be reported as having clear skies.

3 Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls

That’d certainly be a unique pose to immortalize as a piece of art, anyway. The hilarious part of this glitch is that there was no explanation as to why this lady suddenly melted into a puddle.

In-universe, maybe she thought Arno was (quite literally) drop-dead gorgeous? What would’ve made it worse is if every other NPC crumbled this way, but thankfully this particular person was the only one.

2 Lost Among The Clouds

Arno was a man so madly in love during Assassin’s Creed Unity that many have accused him of having his head up in the clouds. This glitch showed what would’ve happened if that were literally the case, with Arno flying around in the sky.

The actual engine failure seems to be that the Animus memory corridor has merged with the rendering of the past, meaning that Arno’s stuck perpetually in the memory clouds with no option but to flail around like a maniac.

1 That’s A Stimulating Conversation

It’s worth remembering to never ignore someone trying to have a conversation with you. You never know when they feel so much like the part of a wall that they end up becoming it. This is what happened with Arno’s friend here.

For some reason, the game’s glitch carried on with the interaction between Arno and this man, despite the fact that the guy was sticking out of a wall. Maybe the guy was such a good talker that Arno didn’t bother to let him know.
