Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a game many people wanted to play even before the release of the previous Spider-Man game. Miles Morales, though new to the world of superheroes, has garnered the adoration of many fans all over the world. Even though he’s not the original Spider-Man, he is unique in his own way and people love him for different reasons.
This latest Spider-Man game by Insomniac Games is praised for its heartwarming story. Like many incredible stories, the game left us with many lingering questions at the end, questions we will ponder over until the next game arrives.
10 Is The Tinkerer Alive?
The Tinkerer, the game’s main antagonist, turned out to be Miles Morales’ own friend. One of his best friends, in fact. A common occurrence for superheroes, it seems. Before everything was said and done, though, Phin had a change of heart and decided to do good when she realized the full consequences of her actions.
In an effort to save the lives of the innocent bystanders, she sacrificed her own when she lifted Miles up to the sky after he contained much of the Nuform power that would have leveled Harlem. She is most likely dead, but this is a superhero medium. Her body is nowhere to be seen, there are no funerals of any kind, so perhaps we’ll see her again in the future.
9 How Will Miles & His Uncle’s Relationship Work Moving Forward?
Miles Morales really has his work cut out for him. He has not one, but two people close to him who turned out to be supervillains. The first one is his high school friend and potential romantic partner Phin Mason, and the other his own uncle.
Miles and his uncle’s relationship in this game is a little less manipulative compared to their relationship in the comics. Aaron was a little more protective, even in the beginning. He is more of an anti-hero than an antagonist and he even provided assistance in the end. He is most likely to return and continue this arc, but he will most likely still keep his Prowler persona.
8 How Did The Tinkerer Learn To Fight The Way She Does?
The Tinkerer is the leader of the Underground and Miles’ antagonist of this story. This game’s version of this supervillain is entirely different from that of its comic book counterpart.
This Tinkerer can fight rather well. She is adept in hand-to-hand combat, even capable of going toe to toe with someone who has been bitten by a radioactive spider. She is powerful enough that her men, a band of thugs, fear her. The comic book Tinkerer is more of a villain that lingers on the sidelines and lets his creations do his work for him. It was never explained how Phin got so adept in combat so quickly.
7 Is The Rhino Dead?
Rhino may not be the most popular, or even most powerful character in Spider-Man’s rogue gallery, but his rap sheet in this universe is very compelling. Rhino is perhaps the only supervillain in this universe to have battled two Spider-Men heroes at once, even almost defeating both of them.
During your last encounter with Rhino in this game, you work alongside Tinkerer to escape Roxxon. During the end of this fight, Miles urges Phin to not kill Rhino, but it seems she managed to pierce her blade into Rhino’s chest. Whether he is dead or alive is unclear as of yet, but will most definitely be cleared up in the future installment.
6 Does Peter Know About Miles’ Uncle?
Aaron Davis, also known as the Prowler, is none other than Miles Morales’ own uncle. During the story’s epilogue, Aaron is revealed to have cooperated with authorities and divulged some of Roxxon’s secrets in exchange for a shorter sentence. It is, however, speculated that Aaron did this to appease his nephew, who worked hard to ensure Roxxon is defeated.
Peter Parker, New York’s original Spider-Man, is no stranger to having people close to him becoming supervillains. It is yet unclear whether Peter knows about Miles’ relationship with the Prowler. We’ll have to wait and see.
5 Are The Avengers Home?
The Avengers is the most popular superhero group in the Marvel universe. They have bases and quarters all around the world and one of them is in New York as seen in this game.
The Avengers tower did not make its first appearance in this game. The very same tower can actually be also seen in the previous game. So much destruction and casualties have happened between then and now, yet not once has a figure stepped out of the Avengers tower. Of course, this is a Spider-Man game, and Spider-Man should be at the forefront of the story, but a cameo from at least one superhero would have been nice.
4 Will Dr. Connors Be A Villain?
Dr. Connors, also known as The Lizard, is one of the many villains in Spider-Man’s universe. He made his first live-action appearance, as Lizard, in Marc Webb’s first Amazing Spider-Man.
He has not made an appearance in this universe though, until this game’s end-credit scene. Those who are unfamiliar with Spider-Man’s deeper universe will most likely only recognize Norman Osborn and the man inside the tank. However, the doctor with them is none other than Dr. Connors. Whether he’ll be a villain in the next game, or will just sit on the sideline is not yet clear, but what is clear is his inclusion in the next titles.
3 Will We See The Green Goblin?
Norman Osborn is one of the main towering figures of the previous game. While he’s not necessarily a main antagonist, his presence and choices have led to many of the unfortunate events that happened in the city of New York.
Many already know that Norman Osborn eventually becomes the Green Goblin, one of Spider-Man’s arch nemesis. The way he was framed in the post-credit scenes of both games seems to indicate this as well, with green color constantly showering over him. He will most likely be one of the main villains of the next Spider-Man game, but it is only speculation until an announcement is officially made.
2 What Is Harry’s Role?
Harry Osborn, the son of Norman Osborn and one of Peter’s best friends, has been absent in the last two games. He does exist in this universe but he has never been seen in action. During the post-credit scene of the last Spider-Man game, it is revealed that Harry is indeed in New York and is being treated with a substance very similar to the Venom symbiote.
He also makes an appearance in this game’s post-credit scene, seemingly having woken up already from his long slumber. It is majorly hinted at that Harry will take on the role of Venom, one of Spider-Man’s most famous enemies, but his close friendship with Peter may make this complicated.
1 Are Those…X-Men Characters?
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is filled to the brim with Easter eggs and nods towards other characters from the comic books. The Marvel universe is a massive place, after all. One of the most popular characters but has rather declined in popularity over the past few years are the X-Men, a group of individuals who have superpowers due to the X-Gene.
There have been no official X-Men characters yet to ever pop-up in this game’s universe despite Peter’s close friendship with many of them. There are, however, Easter eggs referencing some, less popular X-Men characters. You will be able to find concert tickets to Dazzler and Lila Cheney in this game, musicians who are also members of the X-Men. Do the X-Men exist in this universe? We hope so. This Easter egg certainly is an indication of that.
