There is a wide array of activities one can engage in within the world of Destiny 2. Bungie is still making sure to add new content every now and again to the RPG-shooter hybrid to keep players engaged and coming back for more. With each new content drop comes new activities players can participate in, but some are darker than others.

While the majority of the actions taken by the player are typically seen as good since they are protecting Earth and The Last City from alien invaders, there are still a few morally questionable things that players can do in the game. Here are dark things that one can do in the Destiny 2.

10 Maybe Killing A Defenseless Uldren Sov

Now this one is understandable since Uldren Sov did do a lot of bad things during the events of Forsaken. The most notable of which is killing Cayde-6 and causing havoc around the Tangled Shore. But it is implied that he was being manipulated by The Taken into believing that his sister, the Queen of The Reef, into doing that stuff.

The player and Petra corner Uldren, now on the floor being wounded and defenseless, during Forsaken’s finale. The screen fades to black before a gunshot killing him is heard with it being unknown who fired the shot. Is it really right to punish someone who themselves was being manipulated by a puppet master?

9 Sending Prison Of Elders Escapees Back

In the first Destiny, the Prison of Elders was an activity that guardians could partake in that pitted them against the enemy factions in a wide arrange of arenas to earn some sweet loot. These prisoners break out in Forsaken’s opening mission and players can do public events to send them back.

While there are probably some bad people in that prison, you cannot fault them for wanting to break out. They are going to die even if they stay in the prison, so it would be better to die free than locked up instead.

8 Blindly Helping The Traveler

This one goes all the way back to year 1 of the first Destiny. Though the Traveler has helped humanity in a variety of different ways, they have yet to know its true nature and its morality.

It has been established that The Traveler has visited other civilizations before and left them behind. Who is to say it will not do the same to humanity? Yet despite this, the player and other guardians still continue to blindly serve The Traveler without ever knowing its true purpose.

7 Trading Ghost Corpses With The Spider

Ghosts are the partners in crime to the guardians and have been established as people through their personalities and capability for independent thought. Oddly and pretty dark though, is that ghost shells can be traded with The Spider in The Tangled Shore.

This would not be a problem if ghost shells did not serve as essentially a ghost’s body. So basically players are using ghost corpses as a form of currency to score some loot.

6 Killing Other Guardians In Crucible & Gambit For Rewards

Crucible and gambit serve as the competitive modes of the game that let players duke it out against each other. Though the game modes of Crucible differ greatly from that of gambit, they do have one thing in common. Both modes reward the player for killing other guardians.

These rewards keep players enticed to keep killing their fellow guardians in the name of sport. All the while Lord Shaxx and The Drifter lose their minds in amazement over it. It really is dark if one things about it hard enough.

5 Repeatedly Helping Calus

Calus was once the emperor of the Cabal before he was deposed by Ghaul, leader of the Red Legion. Guardians can go aboard his ship, the Leviathan, to participate in the raid there.

Despite technically being an enemy, the player can still help him in order to “grow fat from strength” as Calus himself puts it. The guy is clearly shady and is seemingly hiding his true purpose. The player still helps him repeatedly though regardless. The need for more power is just too tempting.

4 Siding With The Drifter Over The Vanguard

Though the Vanguard may not be the absolute best of good guys, they did give the player a home and purpose where they had none. During the Allegiance quest of the Season of The Drifter, the player will be forced to choose between siding with the Vanguard or with The Drifter.

The Drifter is a charismatic and cool guy to hang around. But much like with Calus, his true motives are unknown and he just shows up out of the blue. Even the Drifter expresses surprise at the player betraying the Vanguard who provided them with everything. Perhaps there is no loyalty in Destiny.

3 Repeatedly Ignoring The Needs Of The City’s Citizens

In both Destiny games, the guardians seemingly ignore the needs of the people living there. Whenever the player helps people out there, it is usually always in the best interest of either the player, vanguard or both.

Granted they do keep the Darkness away from them, yet they do not really do much to make the City itself a better place to live. This is probably the reason why people like Hawthorne chose to live outside of it since they view guardians as too selfish. With ignoring their everyday needs, it is easy to see why.

2 Cutting Off The Fallen Supply Of Ether

Out of all the hostile aliens in the Destiny universe, the Fallen are perhaps the most sympathetic since they too are trying to reclaim a lost glory much like with humanity. The Fallen have to scavenge to survive and one of those things is ether which they need to survive.

They do this by harvesting the ether in a variety of places and players can interrupt these harvests in several public events. Players are essentially cutting off the supply of a life-sustaining substance to the Fallen. Which pretty much ensures that some Fallen out there is going to die a slow and painful death somewhere.

1 Having Never-Ending Greed For More Loot

It is often said that greed is the root of all evil and a few of the dark things discussed here is that they were driven by greed. The player needs more loot in order to get gear and weapons to upgrade their character. This means having to associate with some rather morally questionable individuals like Calus and The Spider.

This means that in order to be the best and even look the best, players will have to embrace the greed for more loot in order to survive, no matter the cost.
