My Hero Academia is a larger-than-life superhero anime that’s taken the world by storm. It’s quickly ascended the ranks of anime that have blown up in the West and sits next to all-time greats such as Dragon Ball Z, Attack On Titan, Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop, and more.

All-Might is the greatest superhero the show’s world has ever seen and boy does he known how to make his presence felt. If his world had Pokemon, it’s pretty clear which creatures he’d want by his side. He’d likely look for strong and self-sufficient fighters who offer a layer of friendship.

10 Kommo-O The Comrade

Kommo-O is the Dragon and Fighting-type Pokemon hailing from the Alolan Islands that happens to have a body covered in adorned scales. It’s a very prideful creature, but will only fight other living things it feels are capable and/or brave enough to challenge it.

This means at its core, it is not a bully, but something simply looking for a challenge. Being at the side of an incredible hero fighting crime could give it the challenging experiences it seeks out when it’s living in the wild.

9 Salamence The Surveyor

Does Salamence’s design and energy feel a lot more like a Pokemon Endeavor would have? The answer to that is a resounding yes, but the Dragon and Flying-type could also land a spot fighting with the symbol of justice.

In many respects, All-Might is quite powerful and has little to no weaknesses, but a dragon that can survey the air and provide him with an extra set of eyes could be quite useful. It takes a lot of effort to acquire a Salamence though and, with his focus on villainy, All-Might may not have the time.

8 Gyarados The Leviathan

Anyone familiar with My Hero Academia knows that All-Might’s size and presence are just as terrifying to villains as his combat abilities are. He’s a rather large man and when he presents himself, the evil-doers are often taken back by how large he is.

Outside of Wailord, the Pokemon equivalent to this is the Kanto native Water and Flying-type known as Gyarados. On top of being a large leviathan of a creature, it has the ability Intimidate which affects its opponents at the beginning of a fight much like All-Might does.

7 Mamoswine The Support

Readers may be wondering how a large and rather slow Pokemon like Mamoswine would interest someone like All-Might. But there are plenty of reasons why the #1 superhero would adore this Ice and Ground-type. First of all, Mamoswine would help keep fans and innocent civilians away from the fight and help secure a safe barrier.

Also, its ice abilities would work wonders when it came to holding the criminals while law enforcement arrived. It would make up for its lack of speed or nimbleness with a ton of resourcefulness and utility.

6 Incineroar The Surrogate

It’s hard to find a Pokemon with as much of Endeavor’s energy baked into it than Incineroar. The ferocious Fire-type starter packs quite a punch and can certainly have an attitude. Comparing it to Endeavor allows people to see why All-Might might appreciate this creature on his team.

Endeavor is always angry and a bit of a loner despite All-Might’s willingness to work with him. Incineroar could provide All-Might with the experience of working alongside Endeavor in a way that isn’t so toxic and problematic for everyone involved.

5 Machamp The Scrapper

What’s better than two strong arms in a fight? Well, the answer to that ridiculous question would be 6 arms in a fight. Machamp is a capable fighter and, though it may only be Fighting-type, it’s pretty clear it could hold its own against many of the superpowered villains that pop up from time to time.

It’s known as the “Superpower Pokemon” which means it’d be hard to find a creature more connected to the world of superheroes. In terms of design, it’s rather close to that of Mezo from Class 1-A.

4 Greninja The Aizawa Stand-In

All-Might is a kind and gentle soul who loves having solid relationships with people. Shota Aizawa and he couldn’t be farther apart in terms of personality, but the two make such a great tag team. Greninja is a Dark and Water-type starter Pokemon whose design evokes a lot of Aizawa’s design as the hero Eraser Head.

All-Might has a hard time getting Aizawa to fight alongside him, so having a creature like Greninja that’s so reminiscent of his friend would make All-Might happy. At the same time, it would allow Aizawa to sleep more.

3 Braviary The Symbol

It’s referenced numerous times that All-Might is the symbol of hope and that his superhero outfit is very much inspired by America. He may be the protector of Japan, but he’s a hero the entire world relies on. It’s clear he has an appreciation for the United States of America, too.

Braviary is as American as a Pokemon comes in terms of design. It happens to embody the Native American roots of the country as well as the newer patriotic feel of the land. The Flying-type would also look great perched on All-Might’s shoulder.

2 Lucario The Shoulder & Fist

When it comes to empathy and understanding, it’s hard to find a character full of those qualities as much as Midoriya is. All-Might is also rather empathetic in his own right, but sometimes his focus on vanquishing evil and stopping criminals gets in the way of his human emotions.

Lucario is a Pokemon that can sense the auras of those around it and can help identify irregularities. Not only would this Fighting and Steel-type help All-Might out in the field, but its abilities could alert those around it of when loved ones are going through something.

1 Arcanine The Companion

All-Might is the Earth’s greatest hero and because of that, he’d likely want a Pokemon that’s as loyal to him as he is to serving justice. Arcanine is a Fire-type canine and feline hybrid that has a rather physically imposing presence and would likely work well alongside the legendary hero.

Now, some may say that since it’s a Fire-type, it may be a better match with Endeavor. But the added use of fire could help give All-Might an edge he’s missing. Of course, he’s so powerful and good at what he does it’s unlikely he’s missing anything.
