FIFA 21’s highly anticipated release is just around the corner, and there are certainly millions of people around the world eagerly awaiting the chance to play the game. It is always one of the most popular games of the year, and while the core concepts never change, as there’s not much you can do with soccer, there are always elements to be tweaked.

FIFA 20 was met with mixed-reviews and therefore it is no surprise that EA is pulling out all the stops this time around. While not everything is yet known about the sporting video game, there are plenty of aspects that have been revealed which should get any fan excited.

10 Authentic Character Behaviors

This is something that EA has promised, guaranteeing that the players will all have clear behaviors in order to make the characters feel more realistic. Obviously, the focus for gamers is on what the players are doing and the graphics look like, but this is a cool touch.

Things such as players adjusting their shinpads themselves can be expected from the game this year, which is fantastic. It’s only a very small detail, but it will certainly enhance the overall experience.

9 Improved Passing

A big problem that has happened in previous games is players randomly passing the ball in the complete opposite direction of what people hoped. It never made much sense and that has reportedly been fixed for this year’s game.

This will help to make the game much stronger and will no doubt make things more enjoyable from a gameplay perspective. There should no longer be a need to randomly get frustrated at the games passing unless you make a genuine mistake yourself.

8 Free Download

While the game is going to be officially released on October 9th, it is worth noting that it will obviously be for either the PS4 or Xbox One. When the PS5 and Xbox Series X are released, gamers will have the chance to download the new version on the next-gen console.

It will be completely free of charge which is great for all gamers, as the last thing they want is to have to pay extra for something they’ve already bought.

7 Free Stuff!

Who doesn’t love free things? This year, FIFA is hoping to encourage more people than ever to play the Ultimate Team mode and to do that, they pushed gamers to play as much as possible on FIFA 20 throughout August to earn points.

This will then be translated if they get the game again next year, where people will be able to gain things such as a coin boost and certain chemistry styles.

6 Simming Matches

When people play career mode, one big issue in the past has been the inability to pause games and jump into the action. People couldn’t watch the game take place and then try to get involved if the result wasn’t going to plan.

However, that is all changing with FIFA 21. The popular game is going to allow people to have far more choice in what they do with each game they play, simming if needed, jumping in and out if they want.

5 Licence Losses

While FIFA traditionally has the licence to most teams around the world, last year the game lost Juventus, as the club signed an exclusive deal with PES. Well, that will be the case for a second year, with the Italian giants continuing to be known as Piemonte Calcio.

However, this year, the game has lost another licence. Once again, it is from the Italian league with AS Roma signing a deal with PES as well. Instead, the side will be known as Roma FC.

4 No Early Demo

Something that is absolutely worth knowing is the fact that this year, there will be no early demo. Traditionally, a demo of the game is made available for download with fans being able to get just a taste of what is to come.

However, this year, EA has confirmed that there will be no early demo for people. The decision has been taken to spend that time and energy on the next-gen console versions of the game, in order to make them as strong as possible.

3 New Ways To Sign Players

Fans of this series have been begging for a huge overhaul of the career mode for a long time now, and this is the game where that appears to finally be happening. One issue the game is addressing is the manner in which people can buy players from other teams.

Now, gamers will be able to complete loan-to-buy offers, as well as present direct player swap deals. These are things that people have wanted for a long time, so it will no doubt go down well.

2 Playing Different Positions

In soccer, players can change positions throughout their careers. It doesn’t happen all the time, but as players grow, they develop different techniques that make them better suited to other positions.

In FIFA 21, gamers will now be able to change their player’s positions as they adapt throughout their time playing. It’s going to be a great change that will mean gamers can really have a more customizable experience.

1 Build A Stadium

This year, the Ultimate Team mode is getting enhanced as well. Gamers will get the chance to custom build their own stadium, creating things exactly how they want them, from the size to the general style.

On top of that, people can choose the music used at the stadium, pick chants and even add pyro. It’s a great detail that will make things even more personal.
