This hotel is unlike anything we’ve seen before, but it’s indeed frightening. The developers of Luigi’s Mansion have already stated that its boss fights will be the best yet, as well as the puzzles.
Beware, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is shaping up to be the most horrific Luigi’s Mansion game yet. Output in gorgeous full HD,Luigi’s Mansion 3 has small nuances like a destructible environment and different ways to combat ghosts. We are on cloud nine over the latest Luigi’s Mansion 3 news. These are 10 things we know about Luigi’s Mansion 3.
10 10. The Game Is Set In A Spooky Hotel
It is unknown at this point if there will even be a mansion in Luigi’s Mansion 3. From what we’ve gathered so far, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is set in a spooky hotel filled with ghosts. Since the game is titled “Luigi’s Mansion 3,” it seems likely that a mansion will fit into the game in one way or another. If that’s the case, Luigi’s Mansion 3 might have more content than both of the previous Luigi’s Mansion games combined. There are many unknowns, but so far, the game looks promising.
9 9. It’s Going To Be A Nintendo Switch Exclusive
It goes without saying that the Nintendo Switch is a successful console. It has sold over 34 million units, and it might outsell the Xbox One at this rate. As of now, we know that Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and won’t be releasing for the Nintendo 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS did, however, receive a re-release of the original Luigi’s Mansion. There are no plans to port Luigi’s Mansion 3, but it doesn’t seem out of the question since Nintendo has done it before.
8 8. Luigi Will Have A New Poltergust G-00
Along with a new Poltergust G-00 will be a variety of new techniques. For the first time, players will be able to slam ghosts to inflict damage. Also, a shockwave move will allow Luigi to stun multiple enemies.
In the gameplay trailer, we saw that Luigi’s suction cup can tear apart environments. The environment of Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be more destructible than ever before. Using Luigi’s new Suction Shot will allow him to force his suction cup on objects, then smash them to the ground to reveal coins and other items.
7 7. You’ll Have To Save Mario And Friends
Much like the plot of a Super Mario Bros. game, Luigi’s Mansion 3 asks players to save Luigi’s friends including Mario, Peach, and Toad. At the moment, we don’t know how many of Nintendo’s characters are going to appear in the game. To see characters like Donkey Kong, Wario, or Yoshi in the game would be a rare treat. We don’t know if Luigi’s friends will be playable characters either, but so far, it looks like Luigi is the only playable character in Luigi’s Mansion 3.
6 6. You Can Change Into Gooigi
We didn’t get the Ghouligi that many people were hoping for, but Luigi’s Mansion 3 will have Gooigi, a goopy and slimy version of Luigi who has the letter “G” on his hat instead of an “L.” Gooigi doesn’t take damage as a regular Luigi does.
Gooigi can slip through sharp objects, bars, and other obstacles that Luigi can’t pass. We don’t know the extent of Gooigi’s powers, but we are looking forward to playing Gooigi and seeing what this gooey form could do for Luigi’s Mansion 3.
5 5. The Hotel’s Guests Are Ghosts
We know that Luigi and his friends are going to be staying in an unusual hotel. One moment it appears like a typical hotel, but suddenly, all of the guests turn into ghosts. This frightening thought will add to the eeriness of Luigi’s Mansion 3. The size of the hotel could indicate the presence of hundreds of ghosts. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is meant to cater to people of all ages, but so far, it looks like Luigi’s Mansion 3 is shaping up to be the most frightening game yet.
4 4. The Gameplay Is Going To Be More Immersive Than Previous Luigi’s Mansion Games
The first Luigi’s Mansion game was arguably less impactful than its sequel, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon introduced a wide variety of new gameplay elements including online multiplayer and more in-depth puzzles.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is going to have even more depth with new techniques, more environment destructibility, and more engaging ghost encounters. As the first Luigi’s Mansion console game since the original that released in 2001, it will without a doubt be more immersive than ever before.
3 3. It’s Scheduled To Release In 2019
2019 has been a roller coaster ride for video games. We’ve seen some huge disappointments like Fallout 76, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Crackdown 3, and some huge successes like God of War, Apex Legends, and Devil May Cry 5.
But the year isn’t over, and there is still a plethora of video games to be released. One 2019 release that is sure to amaze is Luigi’s Mansion 3. It’s the biggest budget Luigi’s Mansion game to date, and it is sure to be a hit with fans of the series and newcomers alike.
2 2. It Will Likely Be The Best Game In The Series
The first Luigi’s Mansion game was titled “Luigi’s Mansion,” and it released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001. For the most part, critics were not receptive to Luigi’s Mansion, but the gaming community seemed to love the game. A horror game centered around Mario’s taller, leaner and greener brother was a splendid concept. Since the Nintendo Switch has been such a hit and the game contains more content than we’ve ever seen, it seems like Luigi’s Mansion 3 is on track to be the best of the series.
1 1. The Game Will Have Both Local And Online Co-Op
We first got to experience the ScareScraper Mode on the 3DS, but now that it is being revamped and brought to Luigi’s Mansion 3, we couldn’t be more ecstatic. In the ScareScraper Mode, players can stop ghosts by stunning them and sucking with the Poltergust Vacuum. Being able to slam ghosts onto the ground is a new feature of Luigi’s Mansion 3 that will be used in ScareScraper. Racing against the clock to collect all the ghosts will be a challenge we are eagerly waiting for.
