During the times when you can’t sink your teeth into your favorite game by playing it, there is an abundance of content online to explore. YouTube is one of the best platforms for game-related original content. From the classic channels to more modern content, here are 10 YouTubers every World of Warcraft fan needs to watch.

10 Barny64

Although Barny64 only has five World of Warcraft videos on his channel, each has garnered hundreds of thousands of views. Most of his content centers around Super Smash Bros – however, Barny has one of the most immediately likable personalities on the list.

His adventures in Classic WoW on an RPPVP server are genuinely hilarious. His videos are a wonderful window into one of the most interesting aspects of multi-player games: the people. The effort put into this project makes it shine. From his funny voiceovers and editing to the adventures themselves, Barny64 is a YouTuber anyone playing Classic WoW will enjoy.

9 UberDanger

Johnathan owns a YouTube gaming channel with over a million subscribers and hundreds of videos reviewing what appears to be every game under the sun. His 9-part video series detailing a new player’s experience in World of Warcraft will induce some serious nostalgia. UberDanger is one of the only YouTubers creating WoW content that has never played the game until now.

His videos are primarily comedic. Although his final video is meant to be a review of WoW Classic, this final destination is a tiny part of his experience. Johnathan is a certified noob. Most of us seasoned veterans don’t have the experience of not understanding quests and wiping dungeon groups due to inexperience. Watching the story of Swockwickdus is one of the best ways to relive that 2005 vanilla experience.

8 Preach Gaming

On the opposite end of the spectrum lies Preach Gaming. Preach has been playing World of Warcraft since the beginning. He was once a raider in Method, one of the best guilds in the world. He creates guides for playing every class, casts the Mythic World First races, and provides commentary for all the changes in World of Warcraft Retail. He also has quite a popular Twitch channel.

One of his most beloved series is Drama Time. Preach’s viewers can submit stories of their most interesting experiences in the world of MMOs. Although most of the stories occur in World of Warcraft, Preach accepts them from any MMO. As we all know, the anonymity of the internet can be the cause of some seriously wacky in-game scenarios.

7 PILAV

Although Pilav doesn’t only play World of Warcraft, 51 of his 63 videos focus on content from that game. He’s a crass, sarcastic, and somewhat controversial content creator. That’s the caricature he’s created to stir hype and it’s been working.

He calls out some of the most popular WoW Twitch streamers in the game - people like Asmongold, Tips Out, Esfand, and Staysafe. His brand of comedic commentary isn’t as universally appealing as someone like Barny. However, How NOT to Raid Lead in World of Warcraft is a great example of the type of content he produces. If you like that video, you’ll likely enjoy his others.

6 Nixxiom

The most popular collection he has is his “How to: Class” series. Even on his home page, he separates these from the rest of his Machinima. Although, it has recently expanded into such things as How to: Night Elf and How to: Noob.

5 CraniusPresents

CraniusPresents was one of the original World of Warcraft content creators. Not only did he make Machinima, but he wrote, produced, and sang many of his songs. The song that made him famous within the community, Big Blue Dress, was released in 2005. He stopped producing World of Warcraft content 7 years ago and hasn’t uploaded anything of any kind for 2 years.

However, all World of Warcraft fans ought to pay his channel a visit for a true blast from the past. Although not every video he made featured original content, his most popular videos all did. The Lament of Captain Placeholder, Don’t Make Me Get My Main, and Darrowshire are three of the best videos to relive the old days of World of Warcraft.

4 Nyhm

Nyhm was another musically-focused WoW Youtuber who has fallen by the wayside in recent years. Hitting his peak during the years of the Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, Nyhm delighted audiences with his hilarious parodies of primarily Eminem songs.

He collaborated with other popular WoW YouTubers at the time like Gigi, Abandonation, Sharm, and Demineon. However, his best performances were always solo. Can’t Pug KZ and My Name is Nyhm were two of the videos that shot him into internet fame.

3 Oxhorn Movies

Nowadays Oxhorn is best known for his Fallout 4 Lore videos. However, he got his start in World of Warcraft Machinima. Inventing Swear Words premiered 14 years ago and won hearts with its ridiculous and over-the-top premise. Three friends wanted to find a way to bypass the in-game chat censor. This led to an empire of lovable characters that featured in some of Oxhorn’s other series as well.

In addition to his shorts, Oxhorn’s music was also very popular with fans. ROFLMAO! garnered 17 million views, which (other than Jace Hall’s I Play W.O.W) is more views than any other WoW-related music on the site. Even his less popular music had roughly 2 million views each.

2 wowcrendor

Wowcrendor is one of the only machinima channels that still upload content. His popularity has dipped, with his most recent WoW video gaining only 26,000 views. In comparison to his older videos which would regularly receive 1 to 3 million each, that’s quite a downtick. Like Oxhorn, Nyhm, and Cranius, wowcrendor is a classic nostalgia trip.

Some videos to consider watching are WoW Racial Stereotypes, WoW: How to Win at Pugs and Gearscore, Unreleased WoW Cataclysm Trailer, and If Fans Ran World of Warcraft. His old videos show a serious lack of editing skills, but he leans into it as part of the comedy.

1 Nobbel87

For the few who enjoy the story of the game, Nobbel is the foremost resource on WoW lore. Almost any important character or story relating to Azeroth can be found on his channel. His content is well researched and well-edited. He also sounds like he enjoys his work, so listening to him is always interesting.
