Ever since WWE acquired main competitor WCW, a majority of wrestling games have been WWE games. While there have been some non-WWE wrestling games, they have been pretty few and far between. Things for professional wrestling seem to be changing ever since the arrival of All Elite Wrestling in 2019. It has offered fans an alternative again and that includes an alternative video game while WWE 2K is getting fixed.

A game developed by Yuke’s has been announced to be in development and a trailer featuring AEW stars, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and Hikaru Shida offers the only glimpse at the game so far. The game itself is a long ways off but there is still plenty to get excited about, like the kinds of wrestlers that will be in it. Here are the wrestlers that absolutely must be in the game. Since the three names above are seemingly confirmed, they will not be included.

10 Brodie Lee

The late Brodie Lee was well-loved by everyone he worked with in both WWE and his sadly brief time in AEW. Few could have made the impact he did and it feels it would be fitting to immortalize the man as a legend in the AEW game.

Plus the guy’s continues to make an impact even from the grave as the faction he led as The Exalted One, the Dark Order, continues to do well for itself and the fact that the man’s own son is involved with it. The writing is on the wall for this one since just creating him as a custom character wouldn’t be the same.

9 Jurassic Express

Perhaps the most unique trio in wrestling right now. Jurassic Express consists of Marko Stunt, Jungle Boy Jack Perry and Luchasaurus combine for an odd but loveable trio that is just as talented to boot.

All three are great in their own way, Jungle Boy for his athleticism, Luchasaurus for his power and Marko Stunt for his big heart in such a small body. Plus their inclusion would make for some hilarious moments when playing as them as they would make the perfect troll characters.

8 Britt Baker

The women’s division in AEW is unfortunately pretty behind when compared to WWE right now. That’s not to say that the talent isn’t there though, and that is no more apparent than with the D.M.D herself, Britt Baker.

Not only is she one of the best on the mic with her promos, but she is also great in the ring as her unsanctioned match on Dynamite with Thunder Rosa recently showed. Other than Hikaru Shida, she truly is the face of the women’s division in AEW and must be in the game.

7 The Rest Of The Inner Circle

While Chris Jericho is undisputedly the best part of the Inner Circle, the rest of the group is great in their own way and are just as paramount to Jericho’s success as he is to theirs.

Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager have shown that they are capable of pulling off great matches of their own whose skills separate themselves well from Jericho. Plus it would not be a proper AEW game without them.

6 Best Friends

Another trio but one that have had just as much an impact as Jurassic Express. Best Friends consists of three guys, Trent, Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy, that have surprised.

Trent and Chuck Taylor make for one of the best tag teams and make up for what they lack in stature with heart, as seen with their epic parking lot brawl, a very missed gimmick match not seen in a while, with Santana and Ortiz. Then there’s is the seemingly lazy but all of a sudden highly motivated Orange Cassidy who manages to shock everyone in his matches and steal the show, just like he would in a game with his two best friends.

5 The Young Bucks

Arguably the best tag team in the company, the Young Bucks Nick and Matt Jackson were essential in the creation of AEW as a whole meaning it would be a crime not to see them in an AEW game.

Their high-flying moves and masterful super kicks just never get old and have won the hearts of fans all around the world. It would also never get old pulling off in a game and would be just as satisfying as seeing them do it in real life.

4 Darby Allin

Darby Allin (pronounced like Allen) is probably the most insane man on the planet with what he is willing to put himself through, a trait rarely seen in a wrestler since Jeff Hardy. The Allin in his name is spelled like all in.

The man though is a great wrestler in his own right with an iconic half face paint look and his ring attire. His hardcore and high-flying approach to his in-ring fighting style would blend well for some crazy moments in a game session.

3 Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF)

The rich and smug rich boy that is better than you and you know it, at least according to him. MJF is perhaps the hottest heel in wrestling today with his arrogance and rat-like personality. Few could get a crowd to hate him as much as him.

The guy is integral to AEW’s current success and future and absolutely must be in the AEW game. Plus if people really hate him, a game would be the perfect avenue for taking their hatred out on a digital version of the man.

2 Cody Rhodes

One son of the late Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes was the main mind behind AEW and is arguably the face of the company. But even without it, the guy is as talented as his dad and is certainly making him proud.

There is no doubt about Cody being in the game and it would be fun playing as him once again in a wrestling video game. Especially since he has changed so much since he last appeared in the WWE.

1 Jon Moxley

The man formerly known as Dean Ambrose is arguably the baddest man in pro wrestling today. Ever since Moxley debuted in AEW, he has made a huge impact in just about everything he has done.

He was AEW world champion for almost 10 months and put on some of the best matches the company has seen yet. The man, who was last seen in WWE 2k19, is possibly the company’s biggest draw right now and would be a huge draw to buying the AEW video game.
