However, Nadeshot emphasized that the issue had been blown out of proportion, and that it isn’t as big of a deal as people are making it out to be, he states in a video posted to Twitter earlier this month. He said he respects Activision’s decision, and wanted to reassure the public that it wasn’t a move by the publishing company to slight the racial justice and Black Lives Matter movements.

Seeing as CashApp are the folks who had pledged the $100,000 to donate to the cause, cutting off the deal wasn’t an option for 100 Thieves, so instead the latter formed a Plan B. Their event is still due to take place, just with different games -  League of Legends, VALORANT, and Fortnite.

Spanning three weeks, the event will feature celebrities and gamers alike competing to raise the funds to be donated to charity. It’ll kick off with League of Legends on July 1st, followed by VALORANT on July 8th, and Fortnite on July 15th.
