After defeating the final boss in Remnant: From The Ashes, you’re probably looking for more. The game has been free for a brief moment on the Epic Games store, so even more players have emerged to conquer the Root-rotten realms.

The first wave of people who purchased the game before DLCs and freebies have beaten it without the new added content. Naturally, a true gamer would go back and find all the new items and bosses. There’s more than new items to look for, though.

Playing with friends or strangers as teammates makes the game easier and more entertaining to play. Two content expansion DLCs, a revamped Chronos: Before The Ashes, and the need for more is a recipe for adventure.

15 Play In Survival Mode

Part of the first Remnant: From The Ashes DLC, Swamp of Corsus, includes a new game mode. This Survival mode gives you a rogue-like experience to offer you more challenge and excitement. You’ll spawn in the Labyrinth, which acts like merchant shops in rogue-likes, and when you’re ready you enter any of the realms and defeat waves of enemies, trying to make it to the end in time. This game mode unlocks further collection of new material Glowing Fragments, which allow you to buy new armor and armor recolors.

14 Try Outriders

Outriders is the newest looter shooter on the market, often compared to the likes of Remnant: From The Ashes and Destiny. It’s a sci-fi adventure where you and your colony of humans embark on a trip to a new planet, when things start to go wrong. You’ll find yourself grinding through enemies trying to find new weapons and armor with your buddies. Similarly to weapon mods in Remnant: From The Ashes, you can choose a class in Outriders and use and upgrade it’s special abilities.

13 Get Chronos: Before The Ashes

Before Gunfire Games came out with Remnant: From The Ashes, there was the first born. They created Chronos in 2016, a game very similar to the shooter we know and love. Now that Remnant: From The Ashes is a success, they’ve revamped their old game into Chronos: Before The Ashes for players to enjoy more similar content. The adventure set you can get in Remnant is a reference to the main character’s attire in Chronos.

12 Collect Every Trait

There are over 20 traits you can find and upgrade within the game. Each one enhancing every core of your combat and gameplay. You won’t get every single trait in one playthrough. Maybe not even in five, in regards to specific traits. For example, to unlock the trait Revival, which allows you to revive teammates faster, you’ll have to have revived a teammate around ten times. With every trait found, you can start a new game plus, being even stronger.

11 Get Swamp Of Corsus DLC

Swamp Of Corsus is the first DLC for this game that gives a small expansion to the already existing world of Corsus. This expansion includes new bosses, quests, armor, and weapons. It’s not a standalone story mode. You’ll have to replay Corsus in Adventure mode to find every new thing that got added! The DLC also gives you a Survival mode which acts as a rogue-like experience. Post game in Remnant: From The Ashes means revisiting worlds and finding secrets you missed before.

10 Collect All Weapons

Half of the content in Remnant: From The Ashes is procedurally generated, meaning you probably didn’t get all the weapons possible in the game. There are specific, random encounters that can grant you new weapons with special mods made only for that item. After beating the game, you’ll realize you could have been playing with an even better and more fun weapon. Or you can focus on collecting them all to help you beef up for hard mode.

9 Collect All Mods

Along with weapons, there are special mods the player can find throughout the game. Mods can be attached to weapons or be crafted from a boss material. Since a lot of thw bosses are determined randomly, you won’t be able to get all of them in one play-through. Mods greatly increase the amount of fun the player can have by using smarter tactics and creating much needed advantages against harder foes.

8 Hard Mode

By touching the portal in Ward 13 and going to World Settings, the player can adjust the game mode they are currently on. After beating the game, you can reroll the campaign to find new items or go onto the next difficulty.

Because the game has been likened to that of Dark Souls, people expected more of a challenge. If you’re someone who wants that challenge, this is the next step. Picking either option will erase your previous world and put you smack dab in a newly, un-looted version. You’ll still have all your stats and weapons when rerolling.

7 Get The Armor Reskins

Following the Swamp of Corsus DLC came a major, free update for the base game. This update included a new boss and mod as well as a new vendor who sells armor recolors. You can also purchase Hero goggles and a Hero sword from Rigs for the same Glowing Fragments.

If you’re someone who beat the game before this update, then there is plenty to unlock here. Glowing Fragments are needed to get this new equipment and the harder the difficulty of your game, the more fragments will appear in your world.

6 Read Up On Lore

As soon as players get some weapons, the story portion of the game may wither away. The only way to truly understand what’s happening is by keeping up with the journal logs scattered throughout the world. Now that everything has been beaten and collected, maybe it’s time to read up on what even went down with Ward 13 and Commander Ford by reading into these journals.

5 Beat All Bosses

Some of the bosses are part of the story, but a good chunk of the rest are generated randomly. Bosses give valuable materials for weapons and mods, so it’s best to beat them all. Even if only for a new challenge. You can even choose an alternative killing method for some bosses to receive unique weapons. Reroll your campaign in different realms to find every boss possible.

4 Achievement Hunt

With over 40 achievements, you can never get bored with achievement hunting in Remnant: From The Ashes. If you’re a perfectionist, now is the time to achievement hunt.

There are achievements for beating every boss, earning a certain amount of traits, upgrading, meeting characters, and more. You’ll know if you’ve done everything depending on your achievement completion percentage if you’re using Steam.

3 Help Friends Complete The Campaign

So the game is finished and you are beefed up. It’s time to help out some fellow gamers. If a friend recently got the game due to the Epic Games free week, you can help them get through the game once or even twice, the second time being on hard mode.

If there are no friends you know who own Remnant: From The Ashes, you can always join public lobbies where people are waiting for help or just emotional support against Ixillis.

2 Play Subject 2923 DLC

The second and last major DLC for the game has now been released and is worth playing. The first DLC has mixed Steam reviews and puts you in a realm you already know. If you want extra and new content, play Subject 2923.

In this DLC you get a new Ward and a whole new world to traipse through as well as bosses, weapons, and the true ending to the story that was started in the campaign.
