It’s that time of year and Assassin’s Creed is upon us once again, with Black Flag readying to unleash piratey goodness for fans of the (mostly) historical series. It was only a year ago that players were getting excited about the arrival of Native American Connor Kenway. Now, the game’s industry is readying itself for the docking of his Grandfather, Edward.

While the game is creeping up on fans pretty swiftly, for those outside of the United States it is coming even faster. Originally slated for November 1, the international release of the game has been brought forward two days to October 29. This push comes the same day as news of Watch Dogs being delayed a few more months.

Perhaps Ubisoft is pushing Assassin’s Creed 4 forward simply to match the international date with the North American release, for a larger worldwide impact and to ease the pain of the Watch Dogs delay.
