Beyond: Two Souls isn’t the only upcoming game filling its cast with award-winning thespians. Bethesda has revealed a segment of the supporting cast for its steampunk first-person shooter, Dishonored - only a week after inaugurating a series of gameplay vignettes for the title.

We already know that Lost’s Josh Holloway gives voice Dishonored’s protagonist assassin, Corvo, but read on to see the newly-announced ensemble talent headed to the dystopia of Dunwall this October.

  • Susan Sarandon - Best known for her roles in Thelma & Louise and Dead Man Walking, the Oscar-winning actress makes her video game debut in Dishonored. She plays a former aristocrat named Granny Rags - now an old, deranged blind woman who roams the city streets. Bethesda would only further describe the character as “intriguing,” but doubtless her prior status and current disposition could serve as an asset to Corvo.

  • Brad Dourif - Recently appearing as Wormtongue in The Lord of the Rings and Doc Cochran on Deadwood, Dourif’s career treks as far back as Billy Bibit in 1975’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. In Dishonored he takes the role of Piero, an inventor responsible for Corvo’s infamous mask and the wealth of gadgets at our disposal throughout the game. (Think Assasssin’s Creed’s Leonardo da Vinci - but with a different Italian name.)

  • Carrie Fisher - The iconic Princess Leia actress turns propagandist for her new role, broadcasting the disinformation of Lord Regent’s administration over Dunwall’s loudspeakers.

  • John Slattery - Having surged to fame in recent years for his Mad Men role as the indefatigable Roger Sterling, Slattery is also making his video game debut here as Admiral Havelock - a Loyalist of the former Empress’ regime who assists Corvo against Lord Regent.

  • Michael Madsen - You might know him already from video games like Driv3r, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Reservoir Dogs, but “Mr. Blonde” is a cult sensation thanks to the Tarantino film version of the latter, as well as for his character Budd in Kill Bill. Madsen plays the “mysterious assassin” Daud in Dishonored, and appropriately Bethesda is keeping quiet on any additional details.

  • Chloë Grace Moretz - The young star of Kick Ass and Hugo plays Young Lady Emily, the Empress’ daughter who is kidnapped after her mother’s death.

  • Lena Headey - Currently captivating audiences of HBO’s Game of Thrones as Cersei Lannister, Headey will voice Emily’s caretaker, Calista. A game that combines dueling aristocratic factions with decapitating action should feel quite familiar.

Whether it’s a copious supporting cast a la Mass Effect 3 or a central focus on a leading star (like Ellen Page in Beyond: Two Souls or Aaron Staton in L.A. Noire), it’s encouraging when developers pool top-tier talent for the characters populating - and, ideally, enlivening their worlds.

Arkane Studios has assembled one of the more expansive star-studded rosters we’ve seen yet, and they’re even adding Dexter composer Daniel Licht to create Dishonored’s original score. We’re already imagining the haunting undertones of Dunwall paired with the famous “Blood Theme.”
