It’s April, which means we’re in the final stretch until Grand Theft Auto 5 releases on PC. With less than two weeks until launch, it’s hard to believe the time has finally come. PC gamers have endured the wait, and it looks as if they will be greatly rewarded for their patience. Those who pre-order the game will receive $1.5 million of in-game cash, which will go a long way in the always expensive GTA Online.

In addition to padding players’ wallets, Rockstar Games has also upgraded the graphics for the game, including updating the frame rate to 60 frames per second. To show how this will look and feel for PC gamers, Rockstar released a new Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer today that shows off the game’s intriguing characters, exciting gameplay, and impressive landscape.

Rockstar promises the updated graphics for Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC will make the game more immersive than ever. After watching the trailer (shown above), we have to agree with that assessment. It’s hard to believe a game that already looks great can look even better.

Beyond the upgraded graphics and 60 fps, the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC also means the introduction of mods. These mods will undoubtedly improve the already stunning graphics even further, as well as introduce a plethora of additions, from goofy character skins to crazy weapons and realistic explosions. Rockstar’s last GTA game, Grand Theft Auto 4, continues to receive new mods and upgrades, seven years after release, so it’s not hard to imagine that it won’t be long before gamers start pumping out the mods and additions.

Now that Rockstar is wrapping up the final launch plans for Grand Theft Auto 5’s highly anticipated PC debut, hopefully that means the developer is hard at work on the next installment to the GTA franchise. Sure, Rockstar may release DLC content for Grand Theft Auto 5, including (hopefully) more GTA Online Heists, but those additions should be less intensive, opening up much of the team to start on the next game.

Until that time, though, fans will undoubtedly continue enjoying Grand Theft Auto 5 in all its explosive, violent, and addicting glory.
