It’s almost time, folks. The remake of Halo Combat: Evolved is on its way, and Halo Waypoint has just announced that the title has gone gold. For those unfamiliar with game industry lingo, what this means is that the Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary has finished development and is now on its way to be made into hundreds of thousands of discs for public consumption.

Thanks to this revelation, the full achievement list for Halo Anniversary has also leaked online so read on for all the details.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will feature improved graphics compared to the classic Xbox shooter, with the option to toggle between the updated graphics and the original look. It will also offer 3D support (we were one of the first to see it in action). If none of that interests you, Halo Anniversary also features the renowned pistol from Combat Evolved as well as a handful of multiplayer maps for Halo: Reach.

For die-hard Halo fans, the changes 343 Studios have made to the game are certainly a welcome addition, but the great news doesn’t stop there…

While all of these new features are welcomed with open arms by the Halo community, there are still many out there wondering what the achievements for the Halo: Combat Evolved will look like. Lucky for you, the achievement list has also been revealed, and it looks like the last one is sure to be infuriating for even the most hardcore Halo fans.

While some people will gawk at HD remakes, labeling them as simple cash grabs, they are actually very positive for the industry. When done right, they not only allow gamers who may not have experienced older titles to enjoy games they have missed out on (and need to play), but they also allow veteran gamers to experience their favorite titles with the all the perks that this generation has brought.

The only downside is that they can devalue older copies of games, but that’s only an issue if you’re like me and collect video games…
