Tomorrow marks the day that all Battlefield Premium subscribers gain access to the second batch of new downloadable content for Battlefield 3. We’re not counting Back to Karkand since it came before Premium to those who pre-ordered the Limited Edition of the game and it’s comprised of remakes of maps from previous games in the franchise. PS3 players could explore the large vehicle-centric maps of Armored Kill last week thanks to the timed exclusivity deal EA signed with Sony for the game’s additional content and as such, there are already early positive reviews to go along with gameplay videos, including some that feature some fun and interesting Easter eggs that players have found in the first few days of gameplay....

After nearly two years of anticipation, BioShock: Infinite was finally confirmed for an October 16, 2012 launch back in March. Over the last few months we’ve seen a steady build-up of pre-release marketing materials - including descriptions (and video) of the game’s “Heavy Hitter” baddies. Now, just when gamers were finally poised to get some tangible answers - Take-Two has announced that BioShock: Infinite has been bumped to next year with a scheduled launch on February 26, 2013....

When Irrational Games unveiled the cover art for BioShock Infinite they weren’t revealing an image that would cater to fans of the franchise. In fact, they were choosing an image that would entice the complete opposite — the gamers who purchase maybe one or two games a year. It was a decision and a sacrifice that Irrational’s Ken Levine was willing to make if it meant the end product was going to be successful....

Bungie’s highly anticipated shooter Destiny has only been on the market for a few days, and already gamers are finding ways to exploit it. So far, the Destiny hacks have been regulated to unlimited ammo glitches, but something tells us this is only just the beginning. Although Bungie expected gamers to pour over every inch of Destiny starting on day 1, we doubt they expected players would start looking for exploits so soon....

This week, Square Enix have been running a mysterious promotion for a new game via Twitch, causing rampant speculation across the internet as to what title the campaign has been teasing. Now, that information has been leaked a day before the three-day event was scheduled to end — and the title has been revealed to be Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Many had speculated that it was indeed a Deus Ex game that was being promoted — we knew that the project was based on a title from a Western studio, and the content we’ve seen thus far certainly resembled the series’ tone and style....

You’ll never see it coming! - “it” referring to Domino’s Pizza’s tweet featuring a Persona 5-inspired advertisement. Is this for real? (It is!) Domino’s Pizza Malaysia tweeted out the advertisement on their official Twitter account (@DominosMY) earlier today, along with a caption promoting their pizza and encouraging their customers to stay at home. Oh, and there were some pretty cool references to being a “video game-playing phantom thief” mixed in there as well....

Fans were excited to hear a long-overdue confirmation that Grand Theft auto 5 would be coming to PC and next-generation consoles in the fall window this year - an announcement which Rockstar were cryptically silent about for months after the game’s launch. While most fans were just expecting a large improvement in regards to graphics, it seems Rockstar is going above and beyond fan expectation - they’re even updating aspects of the radio station soundtracks for the game....

As with any fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us is only as good as its roster. Luckily, NetherRealm Studios continues to bolster Injustice’s roster with more and more characters to help keep gamer interest up. While fans are still reeling from the announcement of Martian Manhunter at EVO 2013, NetherRealm’s Ed Boon is already teasing the game’s next DLC character. And, according to Boon, this next addition will be a “big fan favorite request....

As the Beyond Gotham subtitle implies, LEGO Batman 3 will be taking players outside the bounds of the Dark Knight’s troubled city. More specifically, the game will take players on an interstellar journey that features some of the DC Comics Universe’s more iconic planets. On top of that, LEGO Batman 3 features an even bigger cast of DC Comics characters that includes everyone from Bat Cow to Batman ‘66 (voiced by Adam West, of course)....

It’s been quite a while since the surprise announcement of Mad Max at E3 2013, little information since then to give fans of the movies a sense of what kind of experience Avalanche Studios have cooked up. To make sure that gamers don’t forget about the upcoming chance to tear down the open road of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, the team has released a short trailer reminding all that as iconic as he may be, Max is only as deadly as his custom set of wheels - known affectionately as ‘The Magnum Opus....

Over the past few weeks, BioWare has been teasing the reveal of a new IP through cryptic trailers and mysterious e-mails. The game, allegedly titled Shadow Realms, is a completely new title for BioWare and is in development by the mainline Edmonton team led by Casey Hudson. Well, that last part was true up until today. As revealed by Hudson and then confirmed by BioWare, the former Mass Effect Creative Director has left the developer after 16 years of employment....

By now gamers are pretty familiar with the cultural phenomenon that is Minecraft. Mojang’s brick-based creative experience has dominated the gaming landscape since exiting beta a few years back, to the point it has become easier to name platforms the game isn’t on than to name platforms it is. However, while Minecraft is now a console game, a mobile game, and very shortly will be a next-gen game, it’s still widely considered to be a PC game first and foremost....

Mortal Kombat X is nearly upon us, with NetherRealm Studios’ hyper-violent beat ‘em up just weeks away from release. The fighter is set to launch on April 14 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and this summer for Xbox 360 and PS3 after a recent delay. Fans of the franchise will be able to play as a number of returning combatants, including the likes of Mileena, Johnny Cage and Sonja Blade....

Since Ubisoft first unveiled their Assassin’s Creed series set within a Middle Eastern world of espionage and supernatural forces, the connections between it and the Prince of Persia franchise were clear. Thanks to a recently unearthed concept video, fans have one of the first looks at Assassin’s Creed gameplay, at the time credited as footage of the in-production Prince of Persia: Assassins. The similarities between the two franchises were explained when Ubisoft released concept artwork a few days ago, revealing the origin of the Assassins as personal bodyguards of the titular Prince....

We may have known it was coming, but last week’s official announcement of Resident Evil 6 still shook the gaming world, thanks in no small part to the absolutely stunning debut trailer. In fact, reaction to the trailer has been so positive that Capcom has released a second version that includes introductions from three of the game’s developers. There isn’t any new footage, but fans are going to want to hear what the developers have to say....

Netflix’s dominance in streaming does not mean the company is holding back its efforts to constantly put out more and more quality content. One genre where this has become a priority are fantasy series like The Witcher and the upcoming Shadow and Bone, which aim to get a hold of Game of Thrones’ TV audience. With a promising 2021 in line in terms of movies, Netflix continues to push out exclusive productions that satisfy current and new subscribers of all kinds but fantasy series fans won’t have to wait too long for Shadow and Bone now....

Shadows of the Damned was one of those games that made a big splash with those who picked it up, but barely a dent in market sales. It was unsure whether there would be a sequel or anything done with the franchise after the end of the first game. With Goichi Suda announcing yesterday that he and his company — Grasshopper Manufacture - would be pursuing Chainsaw Lollipop as their next IP, it seems that chances for another Shadows of the Damned are slim....

Popular treasure hunting service Geocaching and Crystal Dynamics’ forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot are teaming up to bring fans some special items that will be hidden across the globe. Square Enix and Geocaching’s owner Groundspeak were proud to announce this campaign in preparation for the release of Tomb Raider, which is currently targeting a 3rd quarter release for all major platforms. Very few cross-promotional events seem as perfect as this team up between Tomb Raider and Geocaching....
