After a 20 year absence, the original Pokemon Snap game finally has a sequel on the Nintendo Switch. The spin-off is a major change of pace from the normal RPG gameplay of the series, featuring on-rails gameplay revolving around photographing Pokemon in various different climates. With around 10 hours of game time, it isn’t the longest game in the world and means that players will likely be craving similar experiences after the credits roll....
Games generally tend to revolve around their protagonist and as such, the player’s focus is always on that particular character and they generally end up being the most liked, or most memorable from that specific title or franchise. However, in some situations, the main character has their spotlight stolen by a side character and it’s that smaller role that becomes the fan-favorite. Sometimes these characters then earn a spin-off game of their own, not that the spin-offs always work out for the best, as seen here....
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is here (the first installment, anyway), and fans couldn’t be happier. The dream of re-experiencing one of the greatest RPGs ever made is now a reality, with updated graphics, a new control scheme, and a wealth of new content that fleshes out an already great story. If you’re one of the players inspired by the quality of Square’s remake, there’s no reason to stop there. Digging into the past reveals a treasure trove of similar games that are just as enjoyable today as they were on day one....

In Monster Hunter World you’ll spend a lot of time grinding for better gear, experience, and to unlock key areas. Borderlands 2’s third DLC expansion, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, has arrived, and to celebrate developer Gearbox Software have released a launch trailer that teases all of the new additions to Pandora. Front and center, as the trailer above explains, is a new villain, Professor Nakayama, a conspicuous looking man with a shoulder-mounted turret. Nakayama prowls the new area of Aegrus, a locale that is sure to be filled to the brim with new colorful loot to collect (and subsequently sell for cold hard cash)....
Over the years, the game show Family Feud has seen its fair share of updates - new hosts, set dresses, as well as board game and video game iterations. There once was a time when gamers thought Duke Nukem: Forever would never be released. It had been brought back to life, canceled, pre-ordered and indefinitely delayed on numerous occasions, but eventually found its way to shelves (and unfortunately, mediocrity). In terms of similar waiting times, it’s been ten years since StarCraft: Ghost was announced, and there are still those who hope for its eventual completion. In a many ways, the shump (short for “shoot ’em up”) is the one type of video game that’s failed to evolve.
