Activision has revealed the fifth and final James Bond film that will ship on-disc as part of October’s 007 Legends. Joining Die Another Day, Moonraker, Licence to Kill and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is 1964’s Goldfinger, the film that gave the world Pussy Galore, Odd Job (and his deadly hat) and actress Shirley Eaton covered head to toe in glimmering golden paint. Cue Shirley Bassey. Along with those five classic Bond adventures, a sixth playable set of missions, based on the upcoming Skyfall, will be made available as post launch DLC, presumably in the wake of that film’s November 9th premiere....

Earlier today, Activision finally gave fans their first look at Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer at a live event held in Los Angeles and through a simultaneous livestream (watch the archived livestream here). The presentation included an extended first look trailer for the multiplayer experience, and took care of some general bookkeeping like outlining the Season Pass and detailing the Prestige and Hardened Editions of the game. Along with the multiplayer reveal, developer Infinity Ward also revealed the cooperative mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts, which as we had earlier heard, is called Squads....

Monolith Productions’ Tolkien tie-in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is being sternly kept at arm’s length from the official canon of the movies (which is why there’s nothing about Lords, Rings or Hobbits in the game’s title), and the game’s story is pretty basic. The protagonist, Talion, returns from being murdered to find that he is an immortal warrior whose body is fused with an amnesia-afflicted wraith spirit, and the only way to solve their collective plight is to run all over Mordor chopping off orc heads and grabbing collectibles....
For the first time outside of Japan, the beloved Pokemon series will be appearing on a platform that isn’t owned by Nintendo. The Pokemon Company has announced that it’s released an official Pokedex app for iOS devices in North America and Europe, allowing fans to access information pertaining to any one of the hundreds of different critters that currently exist within the fictitious world of Pokemon. The Pokedex app (or ‘Pokedex for iOS’ as it’s been branded within iTunes App Store) initially allows gamers to check out details on all of the monsters running rampant around the Unova region, and all it will cost them is a very reasonable $1....

As Resident Evil fans await the arrival of the next numbered entry in the longstanding franchise, Capcom has opted to release a sequel to the critically shrugged-upon Resident Evil: Revelations. Aptly titled Resident Evil: Revelations 2, the game can be approached episodically – making the pacing and structure of each episode feel much more engaging in the process – or as a full retail release. The end result is a third-person shooter that isn’t afraid of giving fans a few scares while keeping them hooked on the story, but the overall look of the title is a sight responsible for sore eyes....
