The brand has become so synonymous with its biggest franchises, that a “Ubisoft game” is shorthand for open-world action-adventure titles that litter their maps with markers. While the company’s blockbuster IPs tend to hog the limelight, Ubisoft has published its fair share of standalone games....

The fourth patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity that aims to further make the November release more playable was supposed to come out yesterday, but was delayed in order for Ubisoft to work on it a bit longer. At the time, the developer stated that “a few more days” would be needed, but that no longer appears to be the case. At least, when it comes to the PS4 and Xbox One, anyway....

Before delving too deep into the world of Broken Age it’s important to note two things. First, this is a Kickstarter-funded project, meaning it sought out a specific audience — point-and-click adventure fans — and found it in spades. It’s a game developed on its own terms, not by a marketing team. Secondly, Broken Age is an unfinished product — it is only part 1 of a planned two-part adventure. And so, for a game whose story is its key selling point, and an obvious extension of its puzzle mechanics, there is going to be some disappointment when the game’s intermission comes....

Take-Two Interactive, owner of both Rockstar Games and 2K Games, has filed for a new trademark for an as-yet-unannounced property. The trademarked property is titled Ghost Story, which shares no apparent relation to any of Take-Two’s other properties. Any potential announcement regarding what Ghost Story is could be weeks or months away, if ever....
