Exploits are hardly a new concept in the realm of gaming and - at least in a temporary state - are almost to be expected in large-scale multiplayer titles like Destiny. This is no more true than with the series of glitches and exploits that surrounded the Crota’s End raid, the second endgame experience for Bungie’s new shooter. By making use of these exploits, it became entirely possible for gamers to solo the raid, but with the release of the latest hot fix for the game, players are likely to find Crota to be much more of a force to be reckoned with....

Next week owners of both iOS and Android devices will be able to relive their fondest memories of Grand Theft Auto 3 whereever they go, as Rockstar officially announced that Grand Theft Auto 3: 10 Year Anniversary Edition will be hitting these platforms next Thursday. The release of GTA 3 on smart phones is just one part of the 10th Anniversary celebration. Rockstar is also offering posters, coffee mugs with brass knuckles and a limited edition Claude action figure for the not-so-low price of $149....

Since its Kickstarter page went live nearly a month ago, the Oculus Rift has turned the heads of game developers and enthusiasts alike. The advanced virtual reality headset has already piqued the interest of PC gaming legend like id Software’s John Carmack, as well as several other developers and companies. In only a few short weeks, the small company has managed to rack up over $2 million in pledges – 8x more than it had originally planned to receive....

LittleBigPlanet is as much a platformer as it is a platform. Over the past two mainline titles, Media Molecule’s franchise has built a solid fan base on the back of whimsical design and creative freedom. Each game does a lot of the initial legwork, leaving it up to fans to carry it the rest of the way. For LittleBigPlanet 3, however, developer Sumo Digital has taken over for MM and done their best to keep the franchise ball rolling on a new console generation....

There has been plenty of buzz growing around the impending release of SSX, with a sizable fan base and a snowboarding genre that all but withered on the vine years ago. Just a few hours ago, the Kickstarter campaign came to a close for Star Citizen, along with the original crowd funding program on the official game’s site. One of the lesser-known booths in the 2K Games section of PAX East’s exhibition hall belonged to none other than XCOM Enemy Unknown – Firaxis’ modern-day retelling of the 1994 strategy classic. In January, Firaxis stepped from the shadows and announced that they were working on the true successor to the original 1994 classic. Fans were elated, of course, but then skeptical. It’s all too common for today’s remakes to end up as commercially-viable trainwrecks, rather than solid products that retain the essence of their forebears....

Ever since the first inception of Pokemon designs, there are been critics who say that some Pokemon look silly. This has increased with every generation of Pokémon games, but a lot of designs are loved because of their cuteness, animal influence, or folklore inspiration. Each generation has its own unique art-style and in Pokemon Sword & Shield there was a large British influence over the Pokemon designs. It should come as no surprise that two niche genres in this day and age would have a lot of similarities. While niche for entirely different reasons; hack and slash games and fighting games were at one point seen as the same thing. Or, more accurately, fighting games and beat-em-ups. Both genres have certainly done well enough to separate themselves from each other. Beat-em-up games have effectively become your modern-day hack and slashers....

Super Mario Maker 2 was released on the Nintendo Switch in 2019 and is a sequel to the Wii U game that was released back in 2015. This game allows fans of the Mario franchise to build their own levels, play through other people’s levels, and even play through the game’s story mode. Being able to build your own levels is pretty much a dream come true for fans of the Mario franchise and this game allows fans to do so in such a cool way....
