Since the very first players got to experience the in-development project known as ‘EVE-VR’ - now officially titled EVE: Valkyrie - a space combat simulator placing users into the cockpit of a starfighter with the help of the Oculus Rift, the comparisons were clear: this was a dream come true for every fan of Battlestar Galactica. Apparently that fact was obvious to the developers at CCP Games as well, as they have today announced that leader of the Valkyries, ‘Ran Kavik,’ will be voiced by Katee Sackhoff - none other than Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace herself....

Fez 2 was only just announced this summer, but the game and it’s oft-vocal creator Phillipe “Phil Fish” Poisson have already been in the center of the media spotlight for the last few weeks. Fish was involved in a heated twitter exchange which resulted in the developer canceling the game entirely, leaving Fez 2 fans without any hope of a sequel to the popular original. The spectacle attracted Cliff Bleszinski, former design director at Epic Games and no stranger to internet rage himself, who wrote an open letter to Phil encouraging him to return....

Role playing fans are abuzz about the soon-to-be released Final Fantasy 15 demo, which will give many players their first hands-on experience with a title that’s been in development for almost a decade. Final Fantasy 15 is being lauded as the first current-gen Final Fantasy title, and Square Enix has high hopes for the game, claiming that failure could doom the entire Japanese console market. However, while Final Fantasy XV certainly looks great, these claims aren’t entirely true....

Despite plenty of fan-fueled reservations, BioWare recently confirmed that the highly anticipated conclusion to Commander Shepard’s intergalactic space opera, Mass Effect 3, will feature a multiplayer component - in the form of optional 4 player co-op. Plenty of gamers tried to deny the possibility ever since we first heard rumors of multiplayer back in May 2010 and as more concrete information has become available, including official confirmation and a squad leader combat video that was surprisingly reminiscent of Gears of War 3’s Horde 2....

EA Sports promised that they wouldn’t be keeping hockey fans waiting to find out what other legendary players would be returning to the ice in NHL 12, and they haven’t disappointed. The developer is keeping up the tradition of featuring nods to both old-time greats and recent superstars, with the latest screenshots and trailers confirming that Jeremy Roenick, Steve Yzerman, Patrick Roy and Börje Salming will all be reliving their glory days....

A sequel to The Last of Us may still not be confirmed, but that hasn’t slowed down the mega-popular new IP in the slightest. PS3 owners are already enjoying the game’s first DLC and the intensely emotional game is in the early stages of a film adaptation. With the constant attention and hype that has surrounded the game since its June 2013 release, it’s hard to imagine that there are any PS3 owners left who haven’t caved in and picked up the game....

One year ago, Ubisoft introduced its new title, Watch_Dogs, at E3 2012 with an arresting trailer and gameplay demo, and an intriguing central concept. Earlier this month, we caught word that Firaxis Games, the developers behind the well-received strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown, were working on a follow-up to that game titled XCOM: Enemy Within. However, further examination of the rumor and a set of PC achievements pulled theories in a different direction, suggesting that Enemy Within is actually DLC content for Enemy Unknown. Now, thanks to an official Gamescom 2013 announcement from Firaxis Games, we know that XCOM: Enemy Within is, in fact, an expansion for XCOM: Enemy Unknown....

Ghost of Tsushima is finally here, and it’s been getting a ton of kudos from critics and gamers alike for its amazing visuals, interactive open world, and excellent stealth/action mechanics. Fans of Japanese history will enjoy what the game has to offer, but there’s a ton of other games out there with a similar feel. Immortals: Fenyx Rising is one of the newest open-world RPGs on consoles, and the lords of Olympus have never looked better. In this beautiful marriage of open-world and Zeldalike, players explore a realm of gods and monsters on a mission to save the Olympians from the evil of Typhon. The game is a gorgeous fantasy epic, but supposing one has encountered every god, solved every puzzle, and checked every box to complete the main campaign?...

After pushing people to their deaths and killing them with high-speed bananas, there’s only so much you can do in Hitman 3. You can either replay the older titles to get more mileage out of Agent 47 or you can keep boosting your assassination score for that Silent Assassin rating. There is another option of course, and that is looking for some hidden details that the developers cleverly disguised in the game....

Hacking is generally looked at as an infamous achievement of sorts, with people who are able to accomplish this “art” being lauded for their efforts. However, the fact of the matter is that the perception of hacking being larger than life is something that needs to be dampened sooner rather than later. After all, it’s not like major hackers are performing a task that should be appreciated in the first place—more often than not, the majority of hackers prefer to perform these tasks for their own gain and nothing else....

The wave of nostalgia that followed when everyone heard the Karate Kid movies were being expanded into a TV series was astronomical. Cobra Kai has been a massive success in its own right spawning three seasons of excellent entertainment for fans to enjoy. Whether on YouTube or Netflix, martial arts shows are an absolute blast to watch. Some are extremely over the top, others are more realistic, but all of them have exciting action and storylines....

Nier: Automata is a crazy game that’s way more than it seems to be. The Nier sequel has certainly found its audience in the three years since its release. With a multitude of different endings, and a critically acclaimed narrative, Nier: Automata has a lot to offer. Still, there are some things about the game that just don’t add up. Call it nitpicky, but something smells fishy. All kidding aside though, the game is great and offers players plenty of unbelievable moments and twists to keep them entertained for house on end....
