After an NHL post-season that has proven anything is possible, only the Los Angeles Kings and the New Jersey Devils remain. According to the developers of NHL 12, their simulated finals has the Kings taking the series in 6 games. If EA Sports’ simulation is as accurate one, E3 2012 won’t be the only thing worth cheering about in California next week. After being rumored relentlessly over the last few weeks, PlayStation fans and owners finally got the word they’ve been waiting for: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal (aka Super Smash Bros. incarnate) will be releasing in the 2012 holiday season, and it’s assembling the hoi polloi of iconic PlayStation characters for a party fighter that aspires to be the platform’s quintessential side-scrolling brawler. As expected, the announcement - along with a video exposition - came during Thursday night’s episode of Gametrailers TV as host Geoff Keighley traveled to developer SuperBot Entertainment’s California studios....

For weeks now, Naughty Dog developers and Sony fans have been singing the praises of The Last of Us Remastered, the forthcoming current-gen port of the critically acclaimed PlayStation exclusive. However, it isn’t until this week that gamers were finally able to go hands-on with the port to see just how well the game looks and plays on PS4. To celebrate the release of The Last of Us Remastered, Sony has released a new launch trailer chocked full of the game’s more memorable scenes....

While Transformers: Dark of the Moon epitomized everything that’s wrong about licensed movie tie-in games, High Moon Studios was able to deliver quality interactive Transformers experiences for publisher Activision in their original takes on the property with War for Cybertron and this year’s sequel, Fall of Cybertron. Instead of porting those to the Wii U, Activision instead enlisted developer Nowpro to port over their Wii/3DS title Transformers Prime. Unfortunately, the move for the cartoon-based video game isn’t a good one and Transformers Prime may just be the worst game at the worst price for Nintendo’s new console....

UPDATE: Capcom has clarified that Nemesis will not be able to invade safe rooms after all. The report from the Official Xbox Magazine had an error in it due to mistaking the room that Nemesis broke into as a safe room instead. Bravely Default II is a JRPG video game that came out in February 2021 on the Nintendo Switch. It is the third entry in the Bravely series, following Bravely Default in October 2012 and Bravely Second: End Layer in April 2015. The game was developed by Claytechworks and published by Square Enix, as well as Nintendo themselves. The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall is a landmark in gaming that set some standards for RPGs going forwards. Matthew Haag, aka Nadeshot, is the founder and CEO of the esports team 100 Thieves and also has two YouTube channels with a total of over four million subscribers. Just one day after the first screenshots leaked of Assassin’s Creed: Unity confirming that Ubisoft’s flagship series would be making the leap to next-gen against the backdrop of the French Revolution, the publisher has released a teaser trailer confirming many of the rumored details. The trailer confirms the 18th-Century Paris location, and while it may be cinematic in nature, it provides the first look at the newest historical protagonist of the game....

In all the excitement over Assassin’s Creed 3’s fusion of history and fiction, and the remarkably intriguing Connor Kenway, there’s a chance some may have begun to see Desmond in a diminished light. The opening cinematic for the game has now surfaced, and makes it clear just how important Desmond’s role truly is. Not just to the series, but the fate of humanity. First released last year, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel focuses on Borderlands 2 villain Handsome Jack during his time as an employee at weapons maker Hyperion. After Hyperion’s Helios space station is taken over by a military group called the Lost Legion, it’s up to Jack and a group of four playable characters (who are all NPCs or bosses from the Borderlands universe) to fight back. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel wasn’t developed by Gearbox Software (Borderlands’ creator) and was instead made by 2K Australia....

In response to today’s news that the face model for Peter Parker has been replaced, fans took no time taking to Twitter to express their disappointment. The news came as a part of a post on the PlayStation blog detailing the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man Remaster. To better match voice actor Yuri Lowenthal’s performance and facial capture, developer Insomniac Games made the decision to recast the face of Peter Parker to Ben Jordan....

For weeks Bungie Aersopace buzz and speculation has been building around the Internet.
