10 Dark Soulsvania Foregone is a bit of a hodgepodge of ideas. The basic things to note are this. It’s a 2D action game that is linear, but each area does have some replayability to it. It’s not like a Metroidvania but more in tune with something like Dark Souls although not that brutal. Battlefield 4 will stick with 64 players. Maps are larger and more detailed. Three factions: US, Russia, and an unnamed “Eastern/Asian” faction. 4 classes with “additional features and tweaks” compared to BF3 Shipping with same amount of maps as BF3, there are plans for lots of DLC. DLC is already in planning stages. Battlefield 4 Premium will be available on day one and include some perks. Most of the guns and vehicles from BF3 will return....

What a difference a month makes. The gaming industry is the fastest growing industry on the planet, with more people playing games than ever before. With so many people playing games, there’s many different tastes to account for, so from one month to the next, the complexion of the best-selling games can look entirely different. This is the case when comparing March’s best-selling games to February’s. The top three best-selling games of that month (The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, Evolve, and Dying Light respectively) don’t even rank on March’s list....

It’s the day FPS fans have all been waiting for, and it’s finally here. The official announcement trailer for Black Ops 2 has arrived, confirming that the game will most certainly not be set in the 1960’s. Futuristic soldiers, weaponry, and American cities under attack are the stars of the show, promising a new direction for the previously Cold War-era series. A few years ago, Maxis, the developer behind the hugely popular SimCity franchise, brought many gamers’ dreams to life when they announced they would reboot SimCity. Out of all of the fighting games out there that have managed to stick around through the years, the one that probably causes the most controversy based on it’ appearances alone is Dead or Alive. Regardless of the gameplay, mechanics or story, the sheer amount of ‘sexy’ costumes the series has implemented over the years overshadows everything else. And how could it not? From the maid outfits, to the schoolgirl outfits with short skirts, DOA, despite its ‘M’ rating, sometimes takes things to a ridiculous extent....

Stop us if you’ve heard this one: while PC gamers around the world are eagerly awaiting the eventual release of Diablo 3, the development team at Blizzard has appeared from behind their curtain of secrecy with new details. Unfortunately, the news is that once again, more significant changes are being made to Diablo 3’s current form, and that the developers won’t let anything force them to release the game until they’re satisfied....

Here’s what we know so far about Gotham City Imposters thus far: it’s a game that’s set somewhere in the Batman universe… but not really. Releasing for the Xbox Live and PSN next winter, Gotham City Imposters lets players join “Team Batz” or “Team Jokerz” to shoot the living daylights out of each other. Needless to say, it’s not your typical Batman fare - even with the little that we know....

For what seems like almost a year now, Rockstar Games has been regularly releasing updates and new content for Grand Theft Auto Online. They’ve added new modes, new weapons, and even new customization options, but so far Rockstar has yet to debut the content gamers have been waiting anxiously for: heists. Unfortunately, today is not the day Grand Theft Auto Online finally gets new heists, but it does mark the release of another content update....

There is no doubt that Xbox 360 owners, who also happen to also be Halo fans, are looking forward to replaying through the original Combat Evolved campaign once again when Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary comes out this November. Some may argue that the idea of playing through a game that was created a decade ago isn’t that appealing, but 343 Industries is working really hard to ensure that hardcore fans of the original will be revisiting a fresh experience when they don Master Chief’s armor once again....

Although next month’s Game Informer, which features a cover story unveiling new details regarding 343 Industries’ Halo 4, doesn’t release for another few days, first details from the cover story have begun appearing online. While the information isn’t as concrete as fans might expect, what 343 Industries does share regarding the game’s story and multiplayer is pretty intriguing. Story wise, it appears that Halo 4 picks up right where Halo 3 left off (although a few years later), with Master Chief battling a Covenant force that has breached his ship....

If you didn’t get around to checking out Heavy Rain the first time around, nobody would blame you, it wasn’t really a commercial success. Thankfully, though, the critical success and cult status the title has achieved fueled sales enough to warrant another release of the game under the PlayStation Greatest Hits banner. But this new version of Heavy Rain isn’t simply the retail copy at a discounted price, this is being touted as the Director’s Cut....

Fans of the House of The Dead franchise are no strangers to its over the top style and off-beat humor, two facets which are expertly detailed in the latest trailer for Sega’s light-gun-zombie-themed-shooter, House Of The Dead: Overkill. The latest trailer, titled “Grindhouse Crossbow” shows off a crossbow emporium, detailing one of the many weapon types players will use during their time with the Move-enabled shooter. In true House of The Dead style, “Grindhouse Crossbow” displays the franchise’s unique style of humor, with a narrator that sounds like the “Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man” guy from Family Guy, the trailer is sure to elicit a chuckle from both House of the Dead fans, as well as those who may not have payed any attention to the title before....

While E3 2011 was filled with sequels, prequels, and remakes of triple-A franchises, the event also wasn’t without its truly original games. Among those was thatgamecompany’s Journey, a title that builds upon the developer’s previous success with a style that is extremely unique. Though you might not have heard of Journey — at least if you weren’t a fan of the developer’s previous title Flower — there is a small segment of gamers who are experiencing the title as we speak in a closed beta....
