Modern Warfare 3 may not release until tomorrow, but that hasn’t stopped Activision from getting a head start and launching its Call of Duty: Elite service. That service is available now on Xbox Live and offers in-depth stat tracking for Black Ops and all future Call of Duty titles. There is no word yet on whether the PS3 or PC versions are available, but players can probably expect the former when the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow evening....

With E3 in full swing, it’s hard for video game enthusiasts to keep up with all the exciting announcements coming down the pipeline. During this brief time that media coverage is fixating on gaming news, many developers take advantage of the exposure to promote new independent products, partnerships, and DLC. Unfortunately for Techland, this does not appear to be the case with its latest announcement, Dead Island: Riptide. Techland made waves last September with the hybrid shooter-RPG Dead Island, and its success caught Hollywood’s attention shortly after release....

Earlier this week, EA began teasing Dead Space 3 with a graphic novel trailer. Now, just a few days before E3, screenshots of the upcoming horror game have been leaked - and they include new character John Carver. Both Carver and series protagonist Issac Clarke are at the center of these screenshots, seen fighting side-by-side and confirming the presence of coop in Dead Space 3. Initial speculation pointed to Issac being joined by a second character, though at the time it was thought to be a “Shadow Issac” and not John Carver....

In a Q&A with Arkane Studios’ Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio it was revealed their forthcoming game, Dishonored, will take around 12-14 hours to complete. Though the game features a hub and spoke game world, with some opportunities for exploration, they say that about 12 hours is the average completion time for Dishonored’s core campaign. While the Spike Video Game Awards has many big reveals yet to be unleashed, one of their more juicy ones may just have been spoiled, as a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Rising has leaked online. What’s most interesting about this trailer is that it completely changes what gamers had previously known about the game, namely its title and developer. As you would have seen in the trailer below, Metal Gear Solid: Rising has now become Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, with developmental duties now being overseen by prominent Japanese developer Platinum Games....
