There’s still a lot for players to do within the unforgiving world of Bloodborne - be it finishing the game, exploring the Chalice Dungeons and other optional areas, or messing around with glitches. Yet even after completing all that, there will still be more game to come, as a DLC expansion is in the works that will surely up the challenge to a terrifying degree. Until then, however, it’s just the base game to keep the inhabitants of Yharnam occupied, though that isn’t to say change won’t come before then....

Zombies are considered to be the most overused enemies within video games, but Techland found a way to revive the genre by incorporating parkour, RPG elements, breakable weapons and an open world when it released Dying Light in January. The updated formula resonated with fans, as Dying Light was the best selling game in January. The trend continued during February sales with Dying Light charting as the third best selling piece of software, just behind Evolve and far ahead of the Sony-exclusive The Order: 1886 during their debut months....

The ambitious title places players in the shoes of Colt Vahn, an amnesiac who’s stuck in a timeloop and the only way to escape is to assassinate eight targets in a single day. Every time he fails, the loop resets. The game takes place across four locations that you can visit at four different times of the day, so each level is essentially four levels....

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is a game in which you are an alchemist exploring the Royal Capital of Ashra-am Baird for materials that not only help Ryza’s studies but also help her unravel a secret. Naturally, it makes sense that the world would be filled to the brim with incredible areas for the player to poke around in, and that sentiment rings true throughout Ryza’s journey....

The original Final Fantasy VII wasn’t directionless, but it incentivized player freedom on quite an extreme scale as soon as the party left Midgar. Before then, however, players were more or less relegated to a rather linear Midgar. A dynamic one with its own secrets to uncover, but nothing on the scale that the rest of the RPG offers. In that regard, Final Fantasy VII Remake is rather faithful. The remake holds the player’s hand virtually all the way to the end, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in secrets....
