 When developing Modern Warfare 3, Infinity Ward is well aware of what needs to change and what needs to be relatively preserved in order to keep an experience that feels improved, but still familiar. While we have yet to hear anything in regards to specific changes being made to the game’s multiplayer, IW’s Robert Bowling may have dropped a small tease about one of the changes being made to the game’s explosions – or at the least the damage they inflict....

The opening ten minutes of Ori and the Blind Forest will make players cry. Let’s just get that out of the way upfront. The tears will come in more of a Pixar or Studio Ghibli kind of way than something like the opening of The Last of Us, but the emotions that the game stirs up in its prologue will carry the narrative for the next ten beautiful hours of platforming adventure....

Once the Resident Evil 6 demo that took place during Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference ended, a lot of the enthusiasm that had been generated for that game up to this point was sucked from the room. Rather than show gamers a typical over-the-shoulder combat sequence, Capcom chose to focus on a scene that was equal parts absurd action and poor logic. Thankfully, what Capcom was showing on the E3 show floor was something completely different – focusing instead on what everyone loves about this new Resident Evil approach: third person gunplay....

This year will be jam-packed with new titles from the Star Wars universe. With several film and television projects set to release in the next few months, fans of the ever-growing franchise have a lot to look forward to. Any observer of the MMO genre knows that gaining traction in an already-packed field of competitors isn’t easy. Apparently that’s even true for a game bearing the Star Wars name. During an EA investor call, the publisher revealed that the number of The Old Republic active subscribers currently sits at 1.3 million. While that number is nothing to scoff at, it confirms that the population base has dropped by 25% since March, despite BioWare’s previous claims to the contrary....

The Indoctrination Theory is one of the most popular alternative readings of Mass Effect 3’s ending scenario.
