When God of War came out in 2018, it took the world by storm. Everyone had been anticipating this game’s arrival ever since it was officially announced at E3 in 2016. When it did, it received critical acclaim. Both the fans and critics loved it. It was a complete reimagining of the brand. It played differently and the setting was completely new. One of the most fascinating things about the game and its story is its shift from Greek mythology to Norse mythology....

We may poke fun at it a lot, but Dark Souls does have its own sort of genre, doesn’t it? Boodunnit is a free-to-play sandbox-adventure indie game that is available on Steam. Released in early 2021, this indie game was created by Studio Koprol. The studio is made up of a small team of university students from the Netherlands. In the game, people get to play as a small and sweet ghost called Boolia (real name Julia). Someone has murdered the town florist and players need to find clues to figure out who or what did it....

Considering he’s one of the most popular superheroes of all time, it’s no surprise many players have enjoyed being able to play as Batman as the Dark Knight cleans up the city of Gotham. Both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were received well and Batman Arkham: Knight is going to round out the trilogy with Batman’s biggest challenge yet. In Arkham Knight, players will go face to face with even more notorious figures from the DC Comics world....

Before heading on down to snowy Colorado with South Park: The Stick of Truth, Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment was reportedly working on a completely different project, one that sounded right at home in the ZeniMax Media family of games. No it wasn’t Fallout: New Vegas 2, but it was something equally as intriguing. Unfortunately, that project has entered a limbo state, meaning it’s not cancelled but it’s also not in active development....

Far Cry 3’s Rook Islands might have been an incredibly fun open world to get lost in, but most people who played the game would probably struggle if asked to point to the game’s setting on a world map. This is not the case with Ubisoft’s upcoming entry in the series, Far Cry 4, which from its first announcement has been touted as a full-bodied exploration of the Himalayas. To get a little bit to the part of the world that they were attempting to create virtually, Far Cry 4 narrative director Mark Thompson and production manager Philippe Fournier took a trip to Nepal to explore the country and culture upon which the game’s fictional nation of Kyrat is heavily based....

After alleged leaks in the past, yesterday a seemingly legitimate map from Grand Theft Auto V found its way onto the internet from an allegedly prematurely sold copy of the game’s official BradyGames strategy guide. It showcased what gamers might be getting to explore in a few days with an enormous and sprawling landscape to lay waste to. It has been long suspected that the map for Rockstar’s newest installment in the franchise would be their biggest to date, but it was never clear exactly how large that would turn out to be....

If there is one trailer that Microsoft’s most devoted fans will be discussing after the company’s E3 2013 press conference, it is without question the announcement of Halo 5. Featuring a cloaked Master Chief navigating his way through a barren desert before coming face to face with a Promethean colossus, the teaser trailer confirms that Master Chief and the Halo brand are still leading the company’s charge. There were likely many viewers — including those in attendance at the press event — who first thought the shrouded figure traversing an alien world was an early sign of what the alliance between EA and Star Wars would produce, but the trailer’s closing moments prove that even Master Chief requires a disguise every now and then....
