The prospect of Microsoft’s first-party blockbuster, Halo, going mobile has been a tantalizing one ever since the initial game launched back in 2001. Fast forward to 2013 and Microsoft has finally revealed its plans to do just that with an exclusive new top down shooter called Halo: Spartan Assault for Windows 8 PCs and tablets, plus Windows Phone 8. Being developed by 343 Industries in conjunction with Vanguard Games, this new bite-sized Halo title takes place between Halo 3 and Halo 4 — effectively meaning that Master Chief is nowhere to be found....

A couple of years into the original Xbox’s lifecycle, Microsoft released a curiosity of a title called Xbox Music Mixer, which provided Xbox owners a way to stream their photographs and DRM-free music from their PC. Oh and it also came with a traditional karaoke mode. Packaged with a microphone, this title allowed users to download real karaoke tracks from an online store at $2 a pop. While Xbox Music Mixer worked well, this was a very expensive proposition for karaoke aficionados and Microsoft never brought the title to the Xbox 360....
Hot on the heels of first details regarding the ‘Earth’ DLC for Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, comes new images and more details further outlining the new character classes that will be introduced in the expansion. Along with the new set of Earth-based maps — Rio de Janeiro, Vancouver, and London — this new DLC will also include six new N7 classes for players to tool around with.
