EA has already confirmed that an update for DICE developed Mirror’s Edge 2 will be arriving on day one of E3, but the company has yet to reveal just how much we can expect. Some fans were disappointed with the vague promise of an’update, rather than gameplay footage or a trailer, but lots of gamers are still crossing their fingers for something more substantial than EA has hinted, so far....

Way back in the 1990s, before every game had mods that somehow put Thomas the Tank Engine in them, all gamers had were cheat codes. These were usually a random selection of words, phrases or just plain old nonsense that made the game easier, usually. Other times, though, the cheat codes brought you nothing of value, and simply made the game more interesting. Sometimes, the codes were found in gaming magazines, and then, after the internet started to become a household thing, you could use your painfully slow dial-up to see if there were any cheats for a game tucked away on some fan powered code website....
Persona 5 Royal is the director’s cut of what many gamers feel is one of the best Japanese RPGs of a generation. Developed by Atlus and based in the same universe as the Shin Megami Tensei series, the quality of the games and the writing are, unsurprisingly, top-notch. Arguably the most notable of Atlus’ library, there aren’t many games this generation that can hold a candle to Persona 5. However, those willing to go back a few generations to the PlayStation 2 will find a goldmine of incredible and unique JRPGs for the system that fans of Persona 5 should love....
An open-world role-playing game set in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding school of Hogwarts has been on the top of many gamer’s wishlists since the books and films were first released. The idea of freely exploring the school’s halls, participating in classes, and interacting with classmates in the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy has captured the imagination of the gaming industry, putting an incredible amount of pressure on developer Avalanche Software. Possibly due to this weight of expectation, the game has been pushed back to 2022; there haven’t been too many complaints about this delay, however, likely due to the underwhelming release of Cyberpunk 2077 still fresh in the mind....

The recent appearance of the fierce and fabulous Lady Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil Village demo has reignited interest in suave vampires who are more concerned with fashion than feasting on their victim’s blood. Lady Dimitrescu might have charming looks and intimidating size on her side, but a group of other vampires rock her in the style department....

Over the weekend, we reported that the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 would be revealed on August 7th. With the day now upon us, Treyarch has released the first multiplayer footage from the game (above) – and damn does it look good! Judging by the trailer, Black Ops 2’s multiplayer will take place exclusively in the year 2025. A handful of futuristic weapons and gadgets are shown off, such as x-ray scopes and the Guardian – a mobile suppression unit that blasts players with what we suspect to be heat....
As expected, Arkane Studios today revealed the next DLC expansion for Dishonored. While the game’s first DLC was more of a time trials-esque expansion, one that we weren’t all that pleased with, this next one sounds right up our alley. Titled The Knife of Dunwall, this Dishonored DLC puts players into the shoes of the Daud, the assassin who sets the entire Dishonored story in motion. Vigilant gamers will recognize Daud as the man who actually killed the Empress, although it is Corvo who is framed for her murder....
Two years after the release of Disney Epic Mickey, Disney Interactive and Warren Spector’s Junction Point development studio are back with Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. This time around, everybody’s favorite cartoon mouse teams up with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and, unlike the first game, the new adventure is not limited to Nintendo’s Wii. Does Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two build on the strengths of the first outing while addressing that game’s shortcomings?...
It’s hard to imagine a better pairing than HBO’s gripping, tense historical fantasy series Game of Thrones and the “choice and consequence” storytelling style of Telltale Games. The first episode of Telltale’s new series (and the second attempt at turning Game of Thrones into a video game) proved that the studio has already mastered the art of leaving people first completely stunned and then extremely angry at the outcome of certain events....
