Night City sets out to celebrate seemingly everything in its titular genre. It has humans enhancing themselves with machinery, blurring the line between the two. It has the chaotic music, crazy colors, and strange substances of a wild ’80s party....

Released in 2006, the Playstation 3 was Sony’s first loss since they entered the console market in 1994 with the Playstation 1. Two months shy of its wildly anticipated release date, Ubisoft continues to drop clues about life after Assassin’s Creed III. It’s safe to say that as Ubisoft takes their hugely popular franchise into the American Revolution with Assassin’s Creed 3 that they have their work cut out for them. While the previous four games have explored time periods that some were familiar with, the intricate details weren’t as thoroughly well known as the American Revolution. That element, holding true to the history, is plays a significant part in the development process for Ubisoft who, for those that don’t know, like to keep their deaths as historically accurate as possible....

While all eyes will be on Assassin’s Creed 3’s new protagonist Connor, Ubisoft wants to fans to rest assured that the other part of the AC equation isn’t being left out. In fact, as revealed by writer Matt Turner, Desmond Miles will be receiving the most game and story time of any Assassin’s Creed installment yet. Considering Ubisoft had revealed that the next Assassin’s Creed, which would coincide with some in-game event taking place in 2012, would be the final game for long time Animus user Desmond it makes sense that he would be getting a good chunk of story this time around....

With Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Ubisoft is trying something a little different. While in past games, the AC protagonists have been self-righteous, mostly good men, AC 4’s leading man Edward Kenway is a little more unsavory. That isn’t to say he wont have redeeming qualities, but in this particular entry players will have every opportunity to partake in some pretty debaucherous activities. Chief among those is Kenway’s use of female companions for less-than-honorable means....

The gaming industry has come to expect big things with every new Assassin’s Creed cinematic trailer, but in the case of Assassin’s Creed Unity, it wasn’t the music or action that had fans cheering, but the confirmation that the game would allow four players to assassinate together. The cooperative mode has long been a demand of fans, but after playing it for ourselves, the systems and mechanics at play could offer an even deeper experience than some might think - provided it all runs smoothly....

Hot on the heels of the first multiplayer trailer for Black Ops 2 comes even more details about Treyarch’s highly anticipated sequel, both in regards to the newly unveiled multiplayer and the single player campaign. For several iterations now, the Call of Duty franchise has flirted with the idea of the near future. But while series entries like Black Ops 2 and Ghosts got close, they, in this writer’s opinion, never fully immersed players in that idea, or gave them the type of future tech they hoped to see. Darksiders 2 is the much-anticipated follow-up to the surprise hit, Darksiders, developed by Vigil Games. The game is still in development and there haven’t been any major updates recently, but it was announced that Darksiders 2 will be a Wii U launch title. With almost two months until the Xbox One hits store shelves, it’s time for many of the console’s intriguing launch titles to put their best foot forward. Developers on games like Dead Rising 3, for example, want to ensure that gamers know why their game is the one to pick up amidst the myriad of launch titles available. To help better sell gamers on Dead Rising 3, Capcom was busy showing of their game’s new co-op mode, which lets two players wreak havoc on the city of Los Perdidos....

In the video game world, money glitches are nothing new. In most cases, these glitches give players a significant advantage in their single player campaign, but they don’t “hurt” anyone. In the case of Gran Turismo 6’s free money glitch, that isn’t necessarily true. First, a little back-story. Earlier this month it was revealed that Gran Turismo 6 would feature microtransactions, a first for the series. With these microtransactions, players would be able to use real money to purchase in-game currency and, in turn, buy better cars....

Grand Theft Auto and Half-Life are two of the most critically acclaimed franchises in all of video games, and now they’ve been brought together at last, thanks to the work of modders experimenting with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. Los Santos will look a little bit more like City 17 with these two edits installed, as players can dress in the iconic HEV suit made famous by Gordon Freeman and even wield the Gravity Gun....
