It was only a month ago when the impressive crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen hit $41 million and in exactly four weeks since, the community has tossed in another $2 million. It’s not surprising either, considering that creator Chris Roberts and his dev teams at Cloud Imperium Games Corporation scrambled to put together a workable demo for Roberts to showcase at PAX East (that used the Oculus Rift VR headset), teasing the upcoming release of the playable Dogfighting Module....

After an impressive showing at E3 2013, few games could have touched the impression left by Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall. As the proposed next evolution of online multiplayer, and with the folks behind Call of Duty pulling the strings, Titanfall has a decided amount of expectation behind it, but, as they say, the proof is in the pudding. Despite controversy over the once Wii U-exclusive Rayman Legends, Ubisoft has remained one of the biggest supporters of Nintendo’s struggling home console. Some big name games confirmed from the company include Splinter Cell Blacklist, Watch Dogs, and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and those are scheduled to arrive on the Wii U later this year. A new addition to the always popular survival horror genre is coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade next week. It’s called Amy and it tells the story of a two people in the near future, desperately trying to survive after a rogue comet crashes to Earth. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the comet starts spreading a virus that promptly zombifies the world. Players navigate this dreary world through the character Lana, an infected survivor that is attempting to find safety with Amy, an eight-year-old autistic girl with freaky powers, while racing against time before the virus takes hold....

The lore of the Assassin’s Creed franchise runs deep, not only in terms of the hidden content littered throughout the open world games, but also in the comic books, short films and novels that expand the universe. Its RNG (random number generation) governs most interactions in the game with an iron fist and with a chaotic smirk. Combat and exploration dice rolls are brutally haphazard and that’s part of the game’s charm. It just isn’t enough to release an addictive AAA game these days: if a developer wants to keep players engaged, brand new content has to arrive - and frequently. That’s the task served by Destiny’s latest expansion The Dark Below, bringing new Raids, new equipment and weaponry, and an increased level cap. And apparently, some brand new issues Bungie is now setting out to address. According to the official ‘Hot Fix’ notes posted on Bungie’s blog, the upcoming update addresses not just issues previously known before the launch of The Dark Below, but unforeseen issues brought on by the expansion’s launch....
