While the systems and mechanics may have changed some, Dead Space 3 is still (allegedly) the survival horror experience that fans have become fond of over the years — one that is about using each weapon smartly and with precision....

House Forrester has seen better days, but if the latest Game of Thrones trailer for Telltale’s episodic companion game reveals anything, it’s that looming danger will be constant throughout each episode. Telltale started their latest game series off on strong footing (read our review here), and the exciting conclusion to the season premiere will have left fans guessing what the House could possibly do to survive. With said second episode arriving to all platforms this week, Telltale has released a second trailer to build up the excitement - and the newest Game of Thrones launch trailer delivers plenty of HBO cast voice talent, a view of Essos, and the usual bits of dramatic dialogue....

The legendary road warrior is set to make a triumphant return on both the big screen and video game platforms, and with the newest debut of actual gameplay footage, fans can get a better sense of what to expect once Max Rockatansky gets rolling. The newest trailer, titled ‘Soul of Man’ takes a predictably dark look at the desert wastelands in which Mad Max will be (mostly) set, and introduces the world to developer Avalanche Studios’ new take on the noticeably more worn, scruffier - but thanks to fans, still Australian - hero....

New York Comic Con is well under way and, as is usually the case, where comic books are video games can’t be far behind. Indeed, news of an Amazing Spider-Man game surfaced just this morning. No surprise, then, that Radical Entertainment and Activision are taking the opportunity to once again show off Prototype 2. An extensive batch of new screenshots and a gruesome new trailer should get interested parties appropriately amped up for the game, which doesn’t hit store shelves until next April....
Scratch yet another item off the 3DS wish list, Nintendo’s new handheld features demos. While there is only one demo available on the eShop at this moment, that demo is a big one, Resident Evil: Revelations. A combination of Resident Evil 4 and 5’s new combat and camera placement, Revelations offers a return to form for the series - to its heyday of confined combat and limited ammunition. We got our hands on the game’s first demo, and what we played of it seems promising....
The second of two Resident Evil games for the Nintendo 3DS will be releasing soon and luckily, there’s already a trailer for it. Resident Evil: Revelations will be the actual story-oriented version, seeing the return of Jill Valentine as main protagonist…or is she not alone? As the direct sequel to Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil: Revelations will be taking place, so far, on an abandoned cruise ship that, of course, has poses a biological threat to humanity....
Rituals is a minimalist adventure game with an interesting polygonal style and a lot of subtleties. Unfortunately, the game tries too hard to have a deeper meaning, resulting in a disjointed mess of a mystery. With vintage style games making a comeback, gamers have become more open to low-res experiences. Titles like Shelter 2 and Grow Home have traded in retro pixels for old school polygons, an increasingly popular style in the indie game community....
Who doesn’t love a good speed run? Whether it’s completing Quake at 100% on Nightmare difficulty like Just Fleck, getting 120 stars in Super Mario 64 like Mike “Siglemic” Sigler or more recently Bethesda Q&A staffer Sam Bernstein blazing through Fallout 3 in an amazing 75 minutes. Leading up to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s worthwhile to look back and reflect on what past iterations of the franchise have done right, and what elements of the “Spider-verse” can be improved in future films. When Tom Holland took on the role of the friendly hero in 2017, he added some much-needed levity to the franchise by imbuing the films with his boyish charm. Gamers can finally stop making guesses about the the release date of StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, as Blizzard has not only revealed the date, but also announced the limited edition collector’s editions fans will be able to find on shelves worldwide. While production certainly wasn’t Zerg-rushed, Blizzard seems to have balanced out the gameplay to a level they’re very happy with - and in just four short months, players will be bringing all those new units into combat....
After Resistance 3 came packaged with the PSN Network pass — a single-use code that restricts online functionality — many figured this was just the start of a new tradition for Sony’s exclusive titles. Now comes confirmation that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, the next online-focused Sony exclusive, will also include support for the pass. While gamers who come by a used copy of Uncharted 3 will be able to partake of the multiplayer for a $10 fee, those who purchase either the retail or Collector’s Edition will be free and clear for combat....
