It’s been almost two years since Minecraft: Pocket Edition was released to mobile phone users around the world, and though gamers have been able to mine on the go for quite some time, they’re miles behind when it comes to updates in comparison to the PC or even Xbox versions of the game. Despite this, Mojang has announced that Pocket Edition has sold an impressive 10 million units worldwide, which has prompted the developer to concentrate on a major upcoming announcement for the mobile edition which will feature experimental content....

Platform-exclusive games are far from a new concept, but when upcoming sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider was apparently announced for release exclusively on Xbox platforms following the previous game’s multiplatform launch, there was understandably an outcry of anger from PlayStation gamers who felt they were being deprived of the game as part an effort to coerce them into buying a Microsoft console. A new update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has hit PC today, which should make players looking for a little more challenge happy. Of course, the update also introduces some general bug fixes into the game, but it’s the game’s two Legendary features that are the big news. Bethesda is introducing a Legendary difficulty into the game to make dragon battles and all enemy encounters a little more oomph. Players that have logged several 100 hours in the game can use the Legendary difficulty to add a little more challenge to the proceedings....

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead has taken gamers on a long road with plenty of emotional battering along the way, and the second season of the acclaimed choice-and-consequence series will conclude this month in episode 5, ‘No Going Back.’ Between the cold, Rebecca’s newborn baby and the tightly wound frustrations of the group, it’s safe to say that the final chapter won’t be an easy ride for poor Clementine. Of course, the ride hasn’t exactly been easy so far....

While fans wait anxiously for any news on TimeSplitters 4, a devoted set of developers/fans have been working around the clock on TimeSplitters Rewind, a multiplayer-focused send-up of the first three TimeSplitters game. Developed with Crytek’s blessing, TimeSplitters Rewind is a chance for fans to re-experience their favorite multiplayer maps, only with updated CryEngine 3 visuals. However, at the time of this writing, TimeSplitters Rewind is only being developed as a PC-only title for release on digital storefronts....

It’s been two years since Tomb Raider was revealed by Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics. Nintendo Switch fans might not be able to play Final Fantasy VII Remake next month, but a ton of Final Fantasy games are now on sale on the eShop in Europe and North America. The first six Final Fantasy titles appeared on Nintendo systems, but Square Enix (then known as Squaresoft) jumped ship to Sony during the 32-bit era and released Final Fantasy VII on the original PlayStation. Bungie is no stranger to designing pulse-pounding cinematic trailers, and the first extended look at Destiny is no exception. It may not contain any actual gameplay, but it will definitely get fans excited for the Halo-developers next journey into deep space. Stunning screenshots and inspired concept art prove that the studio’s desire to build movie-level settings and environments, but nothing compares to a highly-polished CG cinematic. A dusty landscape reminiscent of Star Wars and an emphasis on pack-hunting take center stage in this minute-long trailer, giving gamers an introductory lesson to ’the law of the jungle....
