Before we learn about Battlefield 4, a next-gen game that was showcased for the very first time behind-closed-doors for retail managers last week, there’s one more final piece of downloadable content for Battlefield 3, the fasting-selling game in the Electronic Arts library. Irrational Games has today confirmed BioShock Infinite will offer a Season Pass for its downloadable, post-release content. Like most of the games available today, Infinite’s story will continue past the single player campaign and into new storylines. Details in regards to the DLC are slim, but we do know that Irrational has planned for 3 DLC packs that will allow players to further explore Colombia. The Season Pass is valued at $30, but can be yours for only $19....

With just a few days until Destiny sees the arrival of its second major DLC expansion, House of Wolves, players are slowly returning to Bungie’s well for new content. Many are spending their time in Destiny preparing for the new cooperative and competitive modes – read our guide for how to prepare for Trials of Osiris – but they may find some new experiences have arrived ahead of House of Wolves release on Tuesday....

Grand Theft Auto 5 is a monster in more ways than one. The game has pushed boundaries through its graphic content, but Rockstar’s open world title has been a critical and commercial smash. Grand Theft Auto 5 won rave reviews upon its launch, and the game is considered one of the best games of the last console generation. As we near the end of this extremely protracted console cycle it’s fitting that an industry that has been on the rise for quite some time would start to see a downward trend. Though sales are still strong for individual titles like Call of Duty or Mass Effect, the software sales sector as a whole is registered an unfortunate downward trajectory. There are still plenty of exciting releases on the horizon from Halo 4 to Assassin’s Creed 3, but neither of those have the kind of all encompassing wait that something like Grand Theft Auto 5....

During the Consumer Economics Show (CES) in January, Nvidia made a bold move in showing off a brand new, near-complete handheld console to compete with not only the likes of the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS, but home console systems like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. First impressions were fairly mixed, and while many saw the potential of a handheld device capable of live game streaming from a PC, there was growing concern for the device’s future - and if the Nvidia Shield could learn from the mistakes of the similar systems before it....

It’s official, a brand new game franchise in the Star Wars universe is here, and it is, unsurprisingly, Star Wars 1313. While some connections between the name and the bounty hunter profession have been proven to be accurate - you will be playing a bounty hunter - the game seems to be a bit of a departure from previous Star Wars titles. We’ve known that something bearing the title Star Wars 1313 was on its way, since the term was trademarked out of the blue, and then prematurely confirmed to be the next new game from LucasArts....

It’s a dangerous world out there, especially if that world happens to be completely infested with zombies. Such is the world of Telltale Games’ critically-acclaimed decision-based drama game series The Walking Dead, which accumulated over 90 ‘Game of the Year’ awards for its first season and is currently continuing the story in a second season. The Walking Dead season 2 got off to a powerful start with episode 1, ‘All That Remains,’ in which players were reacquainted with a slightly older and more world-weary Clementine and given the option to have her react to her past experiences and present hardships in a number of different ways....

According to a report from Video Games Chronicle, it looks like the major focus of the new Skate game will be on “user-generated content and community.” This comment comes from an investor call that EA CEO Andrew Wilson had on Monday to discuss the belated sequel. To him, he sees Skate as the perfect series to inject some of the industry’s latest trends into. “You take a game like Skate, and while skateboarding in and of itself has tremendous appeal to a huge, global audience,” Wilson explained, “there’s also another secular trend that’s happening inside our industry around user-generated content, open-world, and interaction....

The weekend before last, I found myself bingeing the entire series of Firefly Lane. Not for work. Not because anybody asked me to. Just because it was new. The series has been trending on Netflix for some weeks now and it appears to be very popular with viewers – more so than with critics – which is great, and no disrespect to anyone who loves the show. However, I personally thought it was quite bad....
