That is why right from the earlier PlayStation and Nintendo eras, we’ve been blessed with quite a lot of beloved JRPGs, most of which unfortunately have been left back since its debut on said earlier consoles. As a result, if anyone were to pick one up now, the difference in graphical and mechanical quality would be very jarring, to say the least....
When one talks about JRPGs, the first thing that comes to mind is an epic, sprawling tale full to the brim with mind-bending analogies, incomprehensible threats, and some of the most convoluted narratives of all time. In fact, a big draw of what makes JRPGs so special is the fact that their plots are absolutely insane and end up being worth following just so that players can join the pieces together of what’s even happening....
Much as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was a highlight of the PS4/Xbox One launch, Ubisoft has once again bestowed a new AC title onto the next-generation systems. Taking players to Viking-era England and beyond, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has already smashed past franchise records on current-gen systems, with its gorgeous vistas and enormous world still looking great on older hardware. Nonetheless, fans will be eager to see how the team has upgraded the title to take advantage of SSDs and the more capable GPU and CPUs....
Spellbreak has proven to be an interesting and complex multiplayer game. Players go head to head to become the ultimate battlemage by destroying everyone else. It bears a lot of similarities to traditional battle royale style-games, but there are some differences. In fact, many players might find the game entirely different from what they expected. The NeverEnding Story is a fantasy family film that released in 1984 and it was based on the 1979 novel of the same name by Michael Ende, though the film only covered the first half of the novel while its sequel was loosely based on the second half. It was directed by Wolfgang Petersen and was his first film in the English Language. The film follows a young boy called Bastian who finds a magical book that tells the story of a hero named Atreyu and his attempts to stop The Nothing, a dark and malevolent force threatening the world of Fantasia....
This week, Blizzard revealed the next figure in their series of premium World of Warcraft statues is none other than everyone’s favorite War Chief Thrall. While many in the WoW community are marveling over the level of detail and precision in the statue, others can’t help but notice the unmistakable sadness in the Earthbinder’s face. Who doesn’t love a good tower defense game? Ubisoft knows the answer and has decided to include a tower defense inspired gameplay segment in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and is showing it off in a brand new trailer. While not billed as a tower defense mechanic (it’s more of a tactical resource deployment mechanic) the objective remains the same. Use Assassin resources to hold off waves of incoming Templar warriors who are trying to invade your…den....
Even though the Battlefield franchise has always leaned more towards realism wherever possible, it has also had a great a sense of humor to it. So much so that many gamers have had just as much fun uncovering the various Easter Eggs in the game as they have playing it online. One such Easter Egg that has gained a ton of traction among the Battlefield 4 community involves the Megalodon. In preparation of the Battlefield 4 trailer reveal on March 26th, Electronic Arts and DICE have rolled out a teaser site for the game. While the site doesn’t feature much, it does promise some Battlefield 4 art is on the way, presumably in advance of the trailer. However, DICE isn’t parting with their art so easily, they want players to log-in to the game’s official site to gauge interest in Battlefield 4....

The most recent news is that Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was “a 99% finished game” when it was cancelled....
Cyberpunk 2077 is the game everyone loves to adore or hate ever since it got released. While the ambition and scale of the game are incredible, everything good about it just got foreshadowed by the tremendous amounts of glitches and game-breaking bugs that terrorize the game. On top of that, Cyberpunk 2077 also has a couple of features that are hit-or-miss at best. The game’s driving mechanic is one of them....
If you were one of the gamers eager to play Dead Island and purchased the game through steam, you may or not be a little flustered that the game you downloaded was a totally incorrect build of the game. Techland was quick to respond and address the issues, also releasing a lengthy list of day 1 Dead Island bug fixes, but still, the first day was problematic and you likely couldn’t connect online to enjoy multiplayer....
“Come. Test yourself in the trials. Find the way through the darkness.” This cryptic message begins the teaser for an upcoming Destiny competitive multiplayer event called the Trials of Osiris, to be released alongside House of Wolves on May 19th. What Trials of Osiris entails is mostly a mystery at this point. The short teaser reveals new gear and weapons that can presumably be obtained in the event, all falling under the Egyptian-esque aesthetic theme....
Bungie’s Destiny is gearing up for a major content update soon, as the House of Wolves expansion pack is right around the corner. House of Wolves is adding a substantial amount of content to Destiny, including new story and strike missions, along with a brand new co-op mode called the Prison of Elders. Some players may be disappointed to learn that there will be no new Raid with the expansion, but the aforementioned Prison of Elders is being added in its place....
As the last survivor of a supernatural disaster, players of Dragon Age: Inquisitionwill have no choice but to accept the role of savior for an entire world. Those familar with BioWare’s fantasy franchises know that such a task will bring conflict with too many factions, races, and enemy types to name. But luckily, a new trailer out of Gamescom finally gives a voice to the otherworldly threat, and shows just how bad the fighting will be for the Inquisitor, and the many allies who fight at their side....
After earning well-deserved praise last year at gaming events including E3 and Comic-Con, Evolve has since been getting lost in the marketing shuffle of major releases that were delayed until 2015. Part of that has been the overabundance of gameplay videos, demos and poorly named public “alpha” events making it difficult for the gaming community to follow, the other part of it is the question of what content the game would deliver one....
Max Payne 3 will be getting a fancy Special Edition for the more passionate fans of the series. Note, it’s a Special Edition, and not collector’s edition. Rockstar Games wanted to rebel against the status quo and change it up a little bit. Nevertheless, the Special Sdition is available for pre-order now until January 15, 2012, so should the hard boiled cop mean that much to you, get your pre-orders in now....
Fans of the franchise may have mixed feelings about the next entry in the Metal Gear series, but there is new reason for optimism. Series creator Hideo Kojima has spoken about his current thoughts on Metal Gear Solid 5, referencing a few games and design philosophies that could be shaping the game’s overall themes and mechanics, while also confirming it is in production. Most importantly, a familiar face may be returning once again....

When Electronic Arts first revealed their concept for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare at E3 2013, we were appropriately excited to see the publisher doing something new and interesting with one of their most popular brands.
