Blizzard’s epic MMORPG, World of Warcraft has been around since 2004 and over this time has gained 8 expansions. With every bit of new content, there are new quests, new areas to explore, new enemies to defeat and new stories to tell. There is also a huge amount of new music to listen to, with new songs and scores as well as extra ambiance. The soundtrack for each and every bit of content is carefully crafted to enhance the experience of playing....

Nearly every popular video game franchise has that one game not remembered as fondly as the rest. And for many fans of the Doom series, that game was Doom 64 on the Nintendo 64. Originally released in 1997, the game was largely dismissed for failing to move the series forward. Keep in mind that this was at a time when games like Quake, Quake II, and a soon-to-be-released Half-Life were already starting to push the boundaries of the first-person shooter genre....

Much like the reveal of Diablo 2 Resurrection, many Blizzard fans were anticipating the eventual release of The Burning Crusade Classic as the follow-up to WoW Classic. 12 Minutes is the next big adventure game from publisher Annapurna Inveractive, and Microsoft revealed during its E3 2021 showcase that it’ll head to the Windows Store, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S this year on August 19. In 12 Minutes, you’ll play as a man stuck in a time loop, reliving the same experiences again and again as he tries to escape. Everything begins when you answer the front door, and you’re accused of murder....

It’s no secret that piracy is a problem for PC developers. While some may blow the problem out of proportion, it is still legitimate concern for anyone trying to release a PC title. Bohemia Interactive, the team behind the acclaimed ArmA series has been the latest developer to speak out against piracy - asserting that for every three legitimate buyers there are one hundred pirates. The numbers only relate to the multiplayer portion of the ArmA titles, with Bohemia Interactive CEI, Marek Å panÄ›l, citing that the numbers are probably much worse for the single player half....

With the release of each new Call of Duty there are typically three key moments on the Activision timeline. The first is, of course, the release of the actual game, where hundreds of thousands gamers pore over every inch of the newest iteration. Second comes the sales numbers reveal, which isn’t very exciting, mind you, but is a key indicator of Call of Duty’s success. And finally, a few months later we reach the release of the first map pack, an event geared at rejuvenating gamers’ interest in the franchise....

They say that no publicity is bad publicity, but King - the publisher of Candy Crush Saga - is putting to the test. First, the company raised eyebrows and drew chuckles when they stated their intention to trademark the word “candy,” but courted internet critics when they blocked the makers of The Banner Saga from trademarking their own franchise name (since it included the word “saga”). Now as King’s most notable case of cloning an existing mobile game themselves has been brought to the forefront, the publisher has issued an “open letter” to the public, which isn’t likely to settle the disputes....

One of the most exciting game announcements at last year’s E3 conference was Deep Silver’s Dead Island 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to their first-person zombie adventure. At the time, the expectation was that the game would release sometime this Spring. However, after hearing nothing from the publisher or developer Yager Development since the conference, many gamers were worried the original release timeline changed. Now, thanks to some information from Eurogamer Czech and Videogamer, it looks like those concerns may be valid....

Former Halo developer Bungie has finally revealed a release date for their highly anticipated next effort, Destiny, a FPS with plenty of MMO trappings. The game will be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on September 9, 2014. Bungie confirmed the news in a lengthy blog post on their site wherein Community Manager Deej explained the company’s goals with Destiny, and how they have achieved them. But, more importantly, the post concluded with the all-important launch date....

To many, Destiny — in its current form at least — is struggling to live up to its considerable hype. Players who are still invested in the potentially brilliant first-person shooter are holding out hope that its forthcoming expansions will begin to address some of these issues, and as such many are going to great lengths to get a peek at what’s in store. We’ve seen some real ingenuity from players who are exploring the fringes of the game world for a look at locations that shouldn’t yet be accessible....

The world of Dragon Age: Inquisition is nothing if not vast; populated with collection quests, human (or Elf, or Dwarf, or Qunari) drama, and a story-driven campaign dozens of hours long. But the real hook for many RPG players is right in the games name: Dragons. The campaign itself will bring players face-to-face with a few, but some of the game’s best loot, best achievements, and best bragging rights lie in tracking, battling, and slaying the High Dragons of Thedas....

The original DuckTales is something of a cult classic — a 2D platformer that captured a lot of the spirit of the Disney TV show and delighted kids and adults alike. Gamers hold a certain fondness for the game, and so it was with good reason that they were excited when DuckTales Remastered was announced. However, although DuckTales Remastered carries a lot of the spirit and key signifiers of that 8-bit game, it also proves that sometimes nostalgia can override functionality....

There hasn’t been too much in the way of news on Fable Legends since the game was revealed during this year’s Gamescom. Fans have been told that they can anticipate 4-player co-op throughout the game’s entirety, although that much was made apparent by the game’s reveal trailer, and the overall tone appears to be much different than previous iterations. Lionhead Studios knows that the impending Xbox One exclusive is a big departure from the series’ tried and true formula, and went so far as to claim that the project is incredibly ambitious out of necessity....

The unveiling of Halo 5: Guardians early Friday morning brought with it a ton of anticipation, as gamers considered the future of Master Chief’s saga on next-gen consoles, but also a lot of questions. And while we assume a lot of those answers will likely come at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference in early June, 343 Industries has already begun teasing one of the game’s biggest mysteries. By now most have seen the box art for Halo 5: Guardians, which includes an image of Master Chief and another armored soldier split by the game’s title....

Fans have been expecting a Mafia 3 announcement ever since an open casting call was held by Take-Two Interactive almost a year ago. The call for voice actors was for an ‘untitled game’, though the castings themselves certainly sounded like a Mafia title - one character was an Italian gangster, another an Italian teenager, and the third was described as someone loyal to those he considers ‘family’. Things have been pretty quiet since that casting, but it looks like they’re finally heating back up - as indicated by one of the voice actors from Mafia 2 tweeting that he expects some overdue news to be out sooner rather than later....

It goes without saying that experiencing Minecraft with friends online has been one of the best gaming experiences of the last few years, providing countless hours of entertainment and pixelated building projects. Indeed, the game has come a long way since creator Markus “Notch” Persson released Minecraft as a freeware java test back in 2009. Now regarded as the best-selling indie game of all time and branching across consoles and phones worldwide, Mojang has worked to bring in more and more new features as fans push in suggestions....
