However, when it comes to video games, superheroes have been part of the industry since around its inception, with Spiderman on the Atari 2600 coming out all the way back in 1982. In more recent years, there have been more and more amazing superhero games being released and in contrast to before when they were relegated to movie tie-ins, they are now full-fledged games that survive off of simply being a great game....

Pokémon is now on its 8th Generation. Many changes have been made to the games over the years, but one thing remains true; you always want to have the strongest 6 Pokémon possible on your team. However, there are several definitions of what makes a Pokémon strong. Sure, you can have a team made up of your favorite types with strong Stats, but if your Pokémon doesn’t have strong Moves, then you’re not going to have much success....

Fans are ecstatic that Insomniac Games has returned to the legendary Ratchet and Clank series with 2021’s Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for the PS5. Even though it has been eight years since a proper sequel - the 2016 Ratchet and Clank was a remake of the debut entry - Rift Apart remains as faithful to the series as ever while making the gameplay exceptionally smooth. PS5s are still hard to come by, and Rift Apart only gives fans more reason to keep an eye out for one....

As has come to be expected to similar game modes, Survivor places a group of four marines against an endless horde of Xenemorphs....

When Ubisoft officially unveiled Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, they announced that the next game in the popular franchise was headed to the PS3, the PC, Xbox 360, and even Wii U. However, there was no mention of the next-gen consoles. To be fair, only Sony has shown their hand in regards to the next generation of gaming platforms, but still, the omission was a little odd. However, it appears the omission was not intentional, and Assassin’s Creed 4 is headed to next-gen consoles....

Online Heists were finally added to Grand Theft Auto Online earlier this week, which means that players around the world were bound to run into some trouble online. Ever since the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5 in 2013, fans have been waiting for Rockstar to implement online heists, because the only thing better than stealing tons of money in the single-player is doing it with people you know personally. Heists have been one of - if not the most - desired features for GTA Online, and it’d be a huge bummer if anyone was left out of the fun after waiting so long....

The irony of Ubisoft’s upcoming title I Am Alive has kept the game in news headlines for three years now - a steady mix of reports confirming the game’s unfortunate demise and details of its enduring development ripple through the Internet on a regular basis. As a result, it’s no surprise that today’s unearthing of I Am Alive content comes with a major caveat - neither the trailer, images, or cut-scene were official releases and, as a result, it’s difficult to pinpoint whether or not the leaks are from an earlier version of the title or represent what players might be able to expect whenever the game actually hits retail....

It seems like a safe bet to say that Star Citizen is the most ambitious game in the short history of crowd-funded development. Fans of theatrical vigilante justice rejoice! The cult classic film Boondock Saints is primed for an upcoming video game adaptation. While licensed games based on film properties don’t usually bode well for gamers, the characters and subject matter of the property in question does lend itself perfectly for the medium. Details are sketchy at the moment but the game is in development with a reveal soon. The Boondock Saints survived a troubled production and limited release to become one of the most successful word-of-mouth home entertainment releases ever, so much so that the film earned a sequel a decade later along with comics and other merchandise to please the rabid fanbase who still attend conventions just to hang out with writer/director Troy Duffy and principal cast members Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and David Della Rocco....

Today marks the one year anniversary of the launch of Titanfall, one of the first attempts of this generation of consoles to knock Call of Duty off its plinth as the most popular FPS for online multiplayer. While the first entry in the budding franchise didn’t quite accomplish that, it seems that publisher EA isn’t giving up hope just yet. In an attempt to reinvigorate the game’s player base, all Titanfall DLC is being offered for free to Xbox 360 and Xbox One players....

In what is sure to be sad news for PC gamers everywhere, it looks like Torchlight 2 will be delayed until 2012, and won’t be making the release this year that had been hoped for. Delays don’t always have to be bad news, and in this case it seems that the development team is making the best decision for all concerned.
