Turtle Rock Studios is giving those interested in Evolve a chance to play the game before it releases next year via a ‘Big Alpha’ test for the current gen systems and the PC platform. The alpha is technically a timed exclusive, as it’s described by Turtle Rock in a press release, but there’s only a day difference between the alpha on Xbox One and when it arrives for the PS4 and PC....

After returning from its holiday season break, Habbo has responded to the #SaveHabbo campaign, a push against many of the changes made in the move from Flash to Unity. Vaults are here to stay, marketplace fees and higher taxes are going nowhere, moderation won’t be improved, and many players are walking. Ubisoft’s PC support is one area of the publisher’s business that has been a regular spot of criticism. Although the PC side of things now accounts for 15% of their profits, it has taken until now for them to have simultaneous console and PC releases of their biggest games. The current slate of upcoming games may be filled with cross-gen titles (releasing on both current and next-gen consoles), but hopes are high for what the true next-gen games will bring. From a story story standpoint, few seem as intriguing as The Order: 1886, but a strong story and characters might not be enough to satisfy hungry fans hoping for mind-blowing visuals. The developers at Ready at Dawn have spent plenty of time focusing on The Order’s story and setting, but the newly released screenshots and renders show how the game will be excelling in a technical sense, not just a narrative one....

It took a few years, but 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has officially surpassed the 400,000 sales threshold. Released in November 2019 in Japan, the game was eventually launched worldwide the following September. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim was developed by Vanillaware – a Japanese studio that’s also worked on Dragon’s Crown, Muramasa, and Odin Sphere. It garnered impressive reviews at launch and is currently sitting with an 85 on Metacritic. The title would go on to earn a Jury Selection title at the 24th Japan Media Arts Festival – although its sales would take some time to catch up with the critical acclaim....
