With several strong releases on the horizon, it’s easy to forget about some of the smaller but equally exciting offerings that are nearing launch. One such game is Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Drawing from inspirations like the Battlefield series and Conker’s Bad Fur Day, the zany aesthetic and third-person shooter gameplay could prove to be quite a hit. Now, with the inclusion of a bunch of unlockable customization options and newly-announced gameplay mechanics, it’s looking like there’s even more reason to keep an eye on this title....

Back in August, Capcom unveiled its newest intellectual property, Remember Me, a game that takes place in a cyberpunk, futuristic world in the year 2048. Your chance to re-write Resident Evil history will be coming in the first quarter of 2012. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be releasing March 20, 2012 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, giving players the opportunity to hunt Resident Evil 2 and 4 star Leon S. Although we praised Blizzard last week for its meticulous preparation in anticipation of the Warlords of Dreanor launch, we may have been a bit too optimistic. When some androids begin acting of their own free will and even hurting humans, the world questions if technology has gone too far. Meanwhile, androids question whether they deserve to be treated as slaves. A choice-based game that works similarly to a “choose your own adventure” story, Detroit: Become Human has an overwhelming amount of emotionally-varied story options....

For years, fans have been clamoring for BioWare to remaster the Mass Effect trilogy. While many series deserve remasters, Mass Effect especially needs it because of the synergy between games. Decisions players make in the first game carry all the way over into the third title. Thankfully, the science fiction epic is finally getting a re-release in the form of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Set for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the new edition is enacting a slew of changes on the original classics to help update it....

Paradox Interactive’s Europa Universalis IV has a well-earned reputation as a very difficult game with an extremely steep learning curve; it’s a common joke within the fanbase to post pictures of their Steam playtime in the thousands and comment that they’ve just about completed the tutorial. When you think of a Final Fantasy MMORPG, it’s undoubtedly Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn that comes to mind, Square Enix’s latest and greatest entry into the genre. The Binding Of Isaac is perhaps one of the biggest and most popular rogue-like indie games to pop up ever, having really given a lot of power and inspiration to the wave of imitators that would come after it. Created by Edmund McMillan of Super Meat Boy fame, Florian Himsl (who was originally the sole programmer working on the game before the DLC came out), and the development team Nicalis, the game has a pretty devoted fanbase all around the world....

Cyberpunk 2077 had the kind of hype surrounding it in 2020 that most other games have never enjoyed.
