Buzz surrounding an inevitable Beyond: Two Souls port to the PS4 is heating up again this week. There has been talk of the recreation of the PS3 title from developer Quantic Dream for months now, but a new PlayStation 4 trophy list for the title leaking online has added fuel to the fire that fans might have a chance to meet even more realistic looking digital versions of Hollywood stars Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe who play the game’s protagonists....

Beyond offering what should be a compelling gameplay experience, the world of Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite promises to be as rich and as detailed as that of its predecessor, BioShock 1. However, according to Creative Director Ken Levine, there were actually details in BioShock Infinite — specifically those related to religion — that were much more involved at an earlier stage of development. That isn’t to say that Irrational Games is pulling their punches by any means — Levine, in fact, has come out to say quite the opposite — but at the same time he wanted to be respectful of a wide variety of beliefs and faiths....

Goat Simulator is a pretty silly game, but there’s no denying that it delivers on exactly what the name promises. The player takes control of an average, everyday goat and blunders around a small town doing average, everyday goat things, such as headbutting protesters, licking lampposts and harnessing demonic powers through blood sacrifices. It’s also a terribly broken game, but not in the way that would require a patch to fix it....

It can’t be an id game without guns. RAGE, the latest from the Texas-based shooter developer has released a brand new behind the scenes video, this time focusing on the weapons that can be used by the player character to dispatch his foes. Of course, there will be blood, gibbing, and lots of violence. That’s all in a day’s work, though. The new shooter from id Software will possess an inventory of weapons that won’t be totally unknown to players of first person shooters before....

Light-hearted moments don’t come easily to the Walking Dead franchise (the zombie apocalypse kind of dampens the mood), but after nearly two full seasons of death, misery, hardship and more death, Telltale Games breaks the tension a little in The Walking Dead’s penultimate season 2 episode, ‘Amid the Ruins,’ by including a scene in which Clementine and friends chasing a raccoon around a Civil War museum. In fact, quite a lot of ‘Amid the Ruins’ feels like a breather from the series’ relentless onslaught of unhappiness....

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt quickly became one of our most highly-anticipated games of 2014 after we got a peak at extended gameplay at E3 2013, but the upcoming action RPG was soon after delayed to 2015. News and updates about the new-gen installment in the notoriously epic series have died off a bit in recent months, but it looks like The Witcher 3 is back in full effect just in time for this year’s E3 gaming showcase....

It’s still early in the year, meaning there’s a significant lull in the video game release calendar but taking the industry by storm this week is the hotly anticipated open beta for Titanfall, the first product from Respawn Entertainment that comes exclusively to Microsoft platforms (PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One). Most of the time, websites like VGChartz can only get data on physical copies sold. In an increasing age of digital market places, it’s strange that this information is so well-hidden. The point is the numbers from that site, which is what this list is based on, may not be 100% accurate, but they are presumably within the ballpark....

Not just with silly names like Munny from Kingdom Hearts either, some games just use downright strange things for buying or upgrading items. Gaming fans know that buying and selling things in the Fallout series takes bottlecaps but these games take things a bit further. Fans of Blizzard who want a new take on the Warcraft franchise might want to step away from its hit MMO by trying out Hearthstone, a digital card game with elements straight from the fantasy franchise itself. This time, instead of raiding in Azeroth, players take on the role of popular Warcraft heroes and fight using cards.
