You know Minecraft and you may have seen us play Space Engineers, but have you heard of Robocraft? Developed as a free-to-play PC game and first released early 2013 in an alpha state, RoboCraft is the brainchild of Freejam Games and quite simply, is amazingly addictive and fun. The best way to describe RoboCraft is to say that it’s LEGO meets World of Tanks (or War Thunder) meets Space Engineers. Players collect blocks and use them to build whatever they want to drive....

With Rocksmith, Ubisoft set out to raise the bar when it came to music games, by actually trying to teach players how to play a lead guitar. However, despite having a co-op option which was supposedly included so gamers could jam together, Rocksmith did not allow one player to play the bass line of the song, limiting co-op to those songs with lead and rhythm guitar arrangements. To correct that deficiency, Ubisoft has released the Rocksmith: Bass Expansion DLC, which adds bass arrangements to every song in the original game and any downloadable song content that naturally features a bass line....

Some big names from former Shin Megami Tensei staffers are working on a new project, Monark, and its official website just went live today with a countdown that ends next week on June 10. In an article from Famitsu (via Gematsu), we’ve learned that some of the creatives behind Shin Megami Tensei are currently working on a “new school RPG” that will reveal more next week. The project includes staffers like Kazunari Suzuki, Ryotaro Ito, Tsukasa Masuko, and Aya Nishitani....

In a rather spectacular lesson on the importance of picking one’s battles, Squidbillies star Stuart D. Baker has been fired from the show following deprecatory comments aimed at country legend Dolly Parton and her support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Baker had been voicing the main character Early Cuyler on the Adult Swim cartoon since its debut in 2005. In mid-August, Baker made several deliberately offensive, slur-encrusted posts on Facebook after apparently just discovering that famous humanitarian Dolly Parton was a humanitarian....

When Microsoft first revealed the Kinect sensor they had a lot to prove; would the new motion control offer something for the hardcore gamer, or would Xbox 360 owners be subjugated to bland shovel ware? That’s where Kinect: Star Wars came in, as Microsoft initially presented the project as an answer to cynical gamers. Well, that was quick. What started out just days ago as a rumor about a possible Rayman: Origins sequel is now cold, hard fact. Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends is for real, and that development is being handled by Michel Ancel and Ubisoft Montpellier. Full details have yet to be announced, but a leaked “internal video” reveals that the game is coming to Nintendo’s Wii U with a load of exclusive content....

Just days ago, Ubisoft confirmed that it is targeting an early 2013 release for the Wii U-exclusive Rayman Origins sequel, Rayman Legends. Today, the publisher has taken the inevitable next step by revealing the game’s scheduled launch dates. Rayman Legends launches February 26, 2013, in North America, February 28 in the EMEA territories, and March first in the UK. Even better, Ubisoft has announced that a playable demo of the game will be made available worldwide on Nintendo’s eShop next week....

While Spider-Man: Edge of Time doesn’t put the player into the roles of four different Spider-Men but instead keeps the tally to just two (Amazing and 2099), the game does feature a more colorful cast of characters for the web-slinging superhero to interact with. Among those characters are Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker’s main love interest throughout the years, and Walker Sloan, the main antagonist of Edge of Time. In order to ensure that those characters get the same amount of attention as Spider-Man, developer Beenox Studios have sought out some notable voice talent to imbue these characters with a little more personality....
