The Assassin’s Creed franchise has grown rapidly into one of the most anticipated releases each year - offering counter-programming to the annualized Call of Duty series. If you’ve been participating in the Elite: Dangerous beta program to test out the gorgeous space sim - and perhaps, its Oculus Rift VR support - then everything you’ve accomplished in the game to date still counts. As the crowdfunded Elite: Dangerous prepares for its full release on December 16th, developer Frontier Developments happily announced that there will be no wipe of that beta progress. Better yet, as players jump into the new title, the starting amount of currency has increased tenfold....

More than a month before its release, Gears of War: Judgment has leaked online. Earlier today a torrent of what appears to be a retail copy of the latest game in the popular shooter franchise made its way online, and now Microsoft has taken immediate action. Microsoft released an official statement saying they are well aware that Gears of War: Judgment has leaked online, and plan to take “vigorous action” against anyone that attempts to play it....

Leading up to the release, arguably the most notable aspect of Grand Theft Auto 5 was the size and scope. Starting out, GTA 5 is eager to place you back in its sunny and breezy take on Los Angeles in a way that packs a punch, too. After a spring full of Halo rumors and potential leaks, Halo: The Master Chief Collection has officially been confirmed for a November 11 release on the Xbox One. The massive collection will include all four numbered Halo games and beta access to Halo 5 for just $59.99. In addition the the many other classic items, features, and maps that are coming to the Xbox One with the original four games this November, the fan-favorite map creation mode will also be included....

Bethesda’s Fallout 4 was one of the crown jewels of this week’s E3 2015, kicking off the conference with a stellar press conference showing Sunday night and instantly becoming one of the most-anticipated games of the year. But for gamers craving post-apocalyptic mayhem, Fallout 4 isn’t the only promising contender coming to consoles this fall. There’s also a new game based on the film series that helped inspire Fallout in the first place: the one, the only Mad Max....

Paramount’s Mission: Impossible 7 is holding to its scheduled November 2021 release date, with one provision. 45 days after the Tom Cruise film hits theaters, it will stream on Paramount Plus, the service formerly known as CBS All Access. Several other Paramount films, including A Quiet Place Part II and Paw Patrol: The Movie, will release the same way. Paramount originally intended for the Tom Cruise spy flick Mission: Impossible 7 to come out in July 2021....

The ever teased but never announced Terminal redux for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally been confirmed for Activsion’s hugely popular multiplayer shooter. While first hints towards Terminal’s re-release in Infinity Ward’s title had surfaced a few months ago, many a DLC release date went by without any mention. There was even some pretty substantial building that suggested Terminal and Rust, another map classic map from Modern Warfare 2’s past, were going to be included as part of a Content Drop — the pre-determined DLC releases set forth by Call of Duty Elite — but that release came and went without any mention of Terminal....

As with any annual sports franchise, EA Sports’ NHL is working hard to step up its game (literally). The first trailer for NHL 14 has just been released, which teases some of the new features that are headed hockey fans’ way. While the big changes in NHL’s future might have to wait until the next-gen, EA Sports still has a few tricks up their sleeve. Specifically, EA sports is introducing some new tech, and improving on old tech, in order to make the most realistic hockey experience yet....

The biggest update since launch has just arrived for Star Wars: The Old Republic in the form of Game Update 1.2: Legacy. As the name would imply, a huge aspect of this update is the overhauling of the Legacy system. Players now have the ability to tie their individual characters together in order to unlock various items and abilities. This family tree will reward players with “convenience items” such as an in-ship mailbox and a Global Trade Network terminal....

The world may not have even known about Star Wars 1313 until a few days ago, but it didn’t take long for it to earn its place among one of the most anticipated. While the big publishers were busy showing off sequels to established franchises, LucasArts has unveiled the first gameplay video of the bounty hunter action title that will be aimed at a more ‘mature’ audience. The initial spotlight on the game showed a brief image of the character facial animation, but the new video goes far beyond....
