Don’t take any of this report as concrete fact, but considering the amount of buzz surrounding the release of Marvel’s The Avengers, it’s becoming more and more absurd that a video game isn’t being made to capitalize on the film’s success. So perhaps Ubisoft’s registration of a new Avengers domain name may, in fact, confirm the inevitable tie-in has already begun to be planned. With every previous Marvel superhero film being accompanied by its own tie-in game - and the often insulting quality with which they were made - seeing the company take a bit of a break was certainly a relief....

Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Online Studios’ new fantasy MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has now entered closed beta, so you’ll have to submit an application if you’d like to be considered as one of the chosen few permitted to dip their toes into the early model of the game. Dungeon-delving is a noble and long-standing tradition with the Elder Scrolls series, and Skyrim had dozens of dungeons that the player could easily explore and conquer single-handedly (unless, of course, you feel like taking Lydia along and using her as a human shield)....

Nintendo has announced the theme for the next online tournament in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which will be focused on characters from The Legend of Zelda series. The next event for the multiplayer tournaments is the Triforce Competition, which will use characters and stages from The Legend of Zelda. This means that the playable characters will be Link, Young Link, Toon Link, Princess Zelda, Sheik, and Ganondorf. The stage list will likely include Bridge of Eldin, Gerudo Valley, Great Bay, Great Plateau Tower, Hyrule Castle, Pirate Ship, Skyloft, Spirit Train, and Temple....

There’s no question that the Uncharted series is one of Sony’s crown jewels in it’s PlayStation lineup. With a brand new entry in the series currently in development for the PlayStation 4, fans have been eagerly anticipating new details about the title.
