Although post-apocalyptic themes and settings have long been a staple in literature, film, and video games, any discussion on the topic’s inevitably going to stumble across the Fallout series at some point. Whether it’s the ravings of a die-hard fan or the mutterings of an embittered player-turned-critic after the disastrous reception of Fallout 76, there’s definitely an earful to be had. But it’s safer to plan for two or three. Just in case....

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a spectacular title on its own, but the fact that it stands on the groundwork Marvel’s Spider-Man built is also undeniable. No matter the case, both are incredibly amazing Spider-Man games with individual strengths, and being able to play this back-to-back with the Ultimate Edition is surely a treat Spider-Man fans will enjoy. There are, however, a few people who have not played the 2018 game but played this new one....

The Pokémon universe is incredibly vast, with countless stories, bits of lore, and legends to keep you reading for weeks. With several seasons of the anime, a few dozen movies, 25 years of games, and shelves of manga books, there is plenty of room for plot holes and leftover mysteries in the Pokémon franchise. Today, let’s look at the games specifically. With Battlefield Premium notching over 800,000 members in its first two weeks, the Close Quarters DLC having now released to gamers on all platforms and payment plans, DICE hasn’t truncated the post-release activity of Battlefield 3 more than 8 months into its life cycle. Although many fans were disappointed by the experience offered in Diablo 3, developer Blizzard is continuing along their release track much like they do with every other major title. Part of that track presumably includes several major expansions for Diablo 3 the first of which has been revealed today. This first expansion for Diablo 3 is titled Reaper of Souls and includes all the content fans of the main game expect: new environments, new monsters, new experiences, and a new class....

Generally, when writing a story based on a pre-existing piece of work, it’s a good idea to have a thorough understanding of the subject matter before you get started. If the story is centered around World War II, it’s probably a good idea to get all the names and facts correct, otherwise one could have a very angry veteran or two after them. Or if writing a story based on a pre-established mythology, then wants to make sure that they are accurate to maintain a sense of legitimacy....

First announced in October 2015, Godzilla vs. Kong has been in the works for some time. Forming a shared cinematic universe between 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters and 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, the film will see the two skyscraper sized titans battle it out, for currently unknown reasons. Filmed in November 2018, the movie was set to be released in November 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic....

When it launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 at the end of last year, Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V) quickly set several Guinness World Records. These included fastest entertainment product to gross $1 billion and the highest revenue generated by an entertainment product in 24 hours. In the UK, the crime sandbox set another record of being the highest grossing game in a single week with £94 million. And these massive sales occurred despite some fans decision to hold out for possible PS4 and Xbox One versions....

The Halo series has become synonymous with console gaming ever since it first released on the original Xbox. Whether it’s the story’s epic scale or the strong, balanced multiplayer that draws gamers in, there’s no surprise that the series has maintained its momentum after ten years. With the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary looming on the horizon, gamers everywhere are itching to return to the battlefield that started it all....

At E3 2014, developer 343 Industries revealed that the next chapter of Master Chief’s journey would begin later this fall with the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a single-disc compilation developed exclusively for the Xbox One (and maybe PC). It wasn’t the Halo 5 announcement that many had been hoping for after last year’s tease, but The Master Chief Collection was still a nice stopgap and a perfect holiday gift for diehard fans....

After it seemed like the video game adaptation of the post-apocalyptic Mad Max film series had been delayed into oblivion — having been revealed years ago with no substantial updates since — Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. stunned audiences by unveiling the first trailer for the game during E3 2013. The trailer left the titular Max faceless, at the time thought to keep his likeness a secret (would it be Mel Gibson’s original Max, or Tom Hardy’s turn in the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road?...

The number of items players get in the Skyrim Collector’s Edition might seem small, but the container it will come in is anything but. Revealed in a recently released picture straight from Bethesda, the box will be gargantuan sized (D&D players will know how big that is), and rightfully so: there’s a dragon inside it. Hot on the heels of news that a massive army of Nords is headed to game retailers comes proof that the Skyrim Collector’s Edition will be big enough to mount on your wall as a prize all its own....

Just recently, the company has put out a press release focusing hard on their ‘Kids and Family’ content, with a host of confirmations, renewals, and announcements. The full list is worth looking at for those interested in WarnerMedia’s output, but one project, in particular, will catch the eye of The Amazing World of Gumball fans....
