Fans of Hannibal Lecter will be excited to see their favorite heroine back again in a new trailer for Clarice. CBS released the trailer on January 10, showing off Aussie actress Rebecca Breeds in the titular role. The atmosphere looks spooky and dark, making it seem like Clarice will be leaning strongly into the horror elements previous Hannibal works also featured. This is a story that hasn’t been told before, and will hopefully show another side to the character....

One of the most amazing things about the video game community is the friendships and relationships that emerge out of the shared experience. This has been true since the days of playing Atari with friends on the living room floor through the LAN parties of the early PC gaming movement. The opportunity to game with more people, and people at greater distances, has grown exponentially in the last decade and competitive and cooperative online games, like Destiny, have continued to bring gamers closer together, even if they’re not in the same room anymore....

While Bungie is still hard at work on one of the biggest patches for Destiny yet, they are slowly revealing the component parts of the upcoming update. We know the patch will fix the heavy ammo bug that has been plaguing high level players since launch, and it will also add a reputation panel to the menu, but the hope was that there is still more in the pipeline. After a several month hiatus it appears the cultural phenomenon known as Flappy Bird is ready to make a comeback. And he’s bringing a few friends with him. Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen tells CNBC that his wildly popular mobile game, which has since spawned thousands of clones, will return in August. As the realm of interactive toy-based games continues to grow, there is bound to be an entry that eventually clicks with a wider audience. Every survival horror fan should play Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem at least once. Released by Silicon Knights in 2002, it was one of the first video games to effectively implement the Call of Cthulhu-inspired Sanity Meter, and the effects of allowing the player character to lose their sanity were so creative and genuinely unsettling that it was almost worth allowing the meter to empty just to watch the consequences. Add to that a well-written story that spanned millennia and featured a wide variety of settings, and its easy to see why Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is still fondly remembered by many....

It’s going to take quite some time for any game to reach the same level of player interaction and machinima that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has enjoyed these past few months. In their effort to improve and expand upon the game’s foundations - and possibly to encourage even more fan involvement - the developers at Bethesda have rolled out Update 1.5. The update is available now on Steam with console releases forthcoming, but a brand new trailer gives a taste of what to expect from the improved combat....

Sure there are plenty of first-person shooters that give players the option of using a sniper rifle, but few ever offer the chance of really just being a dedicated sniper. Shambling its way into the next-generation console market is State of Decay, a game Game Rant has reviewed back when it was making its debut on Xbox 360 one year ago. The game impressed with its unforgiving nature, intuitive sandbox structure, and low price point, and now Undead Labs has returned to bring the open-world zombie apocalypse simulator to current generation consoles. The Year-One Survival Edition includes both the Breakdown and Lifeline expansions, as well as texture enhancements and lighting improvements - though the game still has some issues....

When Peter Parker swings into action in this Summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man, he’ll have a city full of villains to face. A series reboot of the cult classic The Mighty Ducks franchise is in the works at Disney Plus. Certain stars from the original trilogy are slated to reunite for the sixth episode of Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. The Mighty Ducks franchise spanned over four years and was created by Steven Brill. The first film was released in 1992 and saw Minneapolis-based attorney Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) coach a youth hockey team after being sentenced to community service....

Final Fantasy XV is an interesting addition to the franchise. It took the “road trip with your friends” vibe from previous Final Fantasy games and made it quite literal with a cast of memorable characters, and an even more memorable car. FFXV is also a gorgeous game, creating an Eos with such stunningly rendered detail that it makes completing the million fetch quests almost enjoyable. It also has the dubious distinction of being a game where the bad guys far outclass the good guys in terms of style....
