Even after releasing the definitive fighting game for fans of DC Comics, the developers of Injustice: Gods Among Us are continuing to add fighters to the core game. For their next batch of downloadable content, NetherRealm is setting the newest incarnation of Superman - the one currently ruling the summer box office in Man of Steel - in their sights. This July sees the release of the ‘Man of Steel’ Superman skin, modeled after the one worn by the film’s star Henry Cavill, as well as a new fighter in the form of the film’s main antagonist, General Zod....

For fans awaiting Max Payne 3, there should be a silver linning to the game’s recent delay; the silver linning being that the time to pre-order the Special Edition has been extended! Originally, the Special Edition for Max Payne 3 was only available for pre-order until January 15th, however the game’s delay has also extended that timeframe - all the way until April 2nd, while supplies last, of course. The Special Edition contains some cool stuff for Max Payne fans, including a statue of everyone’s favorite painkiller popping protagonist, multiplayer unlocks, and the game’s soundtrack....

Whether it’s being aired on The Simpsons or enabling a blacksploitation parody, Minecraft is one of the games that frequently finds itself in the media spotlight and being used continually in creative ways. Few projects however, have lasted as long as Paradise Decay’s Minecraft-made Star Wars - A New Hope full length feature. Saints Row 4, Volition’s super power-themed follow-up to Saints Row: The Third has been refused classification in Australia. As a result, games retailers will not be able to market or sell the game on store shelves. In other words, Australia’s Classification Board has banned Saints Row 4. This might come as a shock for its implications in Australia, but to anyone that’s every played a Saints Row title or seen any of the game’s trailers it’s not all that surprising....

Activision will no doubt be hoping that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be a return to form for the first-person shooter franchise. After the disappointing reception to Call of Duty: Ghosts, and a sales drop for the impressive Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 seems to be the publisher’s best chance of getting Call of Duty back to the top of the shooter world. With developer Treyarch given a three year development period, fans of the franchise are certainly expecting the title to deliver....

Video game players deal with losing in a lot of different ways. Some simply accept it, hit respawn, and move on, while others take their anger to some serious extremes. Just recently, one Call of Duty player took his loss to an unbelievable extreme when he called the cops on another player’s behalf. Not just that, this player’s seemingly innocent hoax (or at least what he deemed to be innocent) resulted in a real life SWAT team assembling outside his opponent’s house....

Late last month Square Enix and Eidos Montreal released Deus Ex: Human Revolution to much celebration and widespread critical acclaim. Hot on the heels of the game’s release on August 23rd, viral games were made available which, when deciphered, were quickly followed by an offcial announcement that a DLC titled ‘The Missing Link’ was en route. So what is ‘The Missing Link’ exactly? Well some information has already been covered, but a new trailer for the DLC has appeared, introduced by Mary DeMarie (lead narrative designer for Human Revolution) - and shows some of the gameplay that players can expect....
