Leading up to the release of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Electronic Arts and Danger Close Games were adamant about the game’s “authenticity,” openly acknowledging close involvement with several US Navy SEALs, whom they hired as consultants during the development process. The US Navy was none too pleased. According to CBS News, the group of SEALs who collaborated on Warfighter with EA and Danger Close has been disciplined by the Navy for getting, well, in the Navy’s opinion danger close....

While the Mortal Kombat franchise is known for its balls to the wall brutalities, fans are also chomping at the bit to know just who will be dealing them. The character roster has been a much talked about feature ever since the latest MK game, Mortal Kombat X, was announced. So far we have seen Sweet Tooth, Spawn and even the deadly Predator teased and we here at Game Rant have also added our own predictions into the mix....

Last week saw the public launch of another action RPG set to compete against the likes of Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2. Titled Path of Exile, the free-to-play PC game is the first title by New Zealand developer Grinding Gear Games who’ve been working on the release for over half a decade. On top of the obvious selling point that Path of Exile is free, the microstransaction-supported online-only game boasts several unique game mechanics that help differentiate it from the competition, and according the the numbers, players came in droves on day one to check it out....

Fans of survival horror weren’t particularly impressed with Capcom’s Resident Evil 6 gameplay reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2012 media briefing - which looked more like a digital version of the over-the-top action franchise movies featuring Milla Jovovich. A helicopter crash coupled with an exploding tidal wave of cars seemed to indicate that the next installment in the once atmospheric BioHazard series was, once and for all, embracing action over suspense....

Electronic Arts only announced the reboot of Syndicate from Starbreeze Studios in September of 2011, and two weeks before they launch Mass Effect 3, they’ve released the sci-fi first-person shooter with its own similar four-player, objective-based cooperative mode. Syndicate is the reimagining of the 1999 game of the same name. It takes place in the year 2069 where massive corporations rule the world and their consumer-bases are embedded with neural chip implants that allow them to interact with every part of daily life....

It was almost three years ago when Jagex, developers of RuneScape, made the official announcement regarding their development of Transformers Universe - a free-to-play, browser-based MMO of sorts that would take advantage of all of Transformers lore. Stardew Valley is an incredibly fun and complex farming simulator that has the player working to bring their inherited farm back to its former glory and build a life for themselves. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a great entry point to the long-running series, but it also offers long-term fans a lot of less obvious options in order to enhance their playthroughs of the game.
